Here are your answers compared to this voter’s answers.
Social › Abortion
N>N Personal answerPro-choice |
Social › LGBT Adoption Rights
N>N Personal answerYes |
Healthcare › Healthcare Funding
N>N Personal answerYes, and do not privatize any services |
Social › Gender Identity
N>N Personal answerYes |
Social › Gay Marriage
N>N Personal answerYes |
the Economy › Taxes
N>N Personal answerYes |
Social › Gender Workplace Diversity
N>N Personal answerYes |
Immigration › Deporting Criminal Immigrants
N>N Personal answerI don't really understand this logic. Is the concern that they're not from here and so our tax money would be paying for their stay in prison? If so, then I refer back to the answer I gave about the release of prisoners who have committed first degree murder. |
Domestic Policy › Gun Control
N>N Personal answerYes, require strict background checks, psychological testing, and training |
Healthcare › Healthcare Privatization
N>N Personal answerLess, and there should be no privatization of the healthcare industry |
Immigration › Immigration
N>N Personal answerNo, and make the process easier for refugees |
Social › Transgender Athletes
N>N Personal answerYes |
Immigration › Muslim Immigrant Ban
N>N Personal answerI don't like the phrasing of this question. So I agree with the statement "No, banning immigrants based on their religion is unconstitutional". That being said I also agree that we need to be aware of high risk countries. It's a dangerous tight rope. But ultimately I believe in accepting all people. |
the Environment › Environmental Regulation
N>N Personal answerYes, and provide more incentives for alternative energy production |
Education › Student Loan Debt
N>N Personal answerI believe that post secondary education should be free. Like other more socially advanced countries. |
Elections › Criminal Politicians
N>N Personal answerIt really depends on the specific crime...common now. |
Domestic Policy › Native Funding
N>N Personal answerYes |
the Environment › Renewable Energy
N>N Personal answerYes |
Domestic Policy › Drug Policy
N>N Personal answerYes |
Healthcare › Safe Haven
N>N Personal answerI believe all drugs should be decriminalized so more focus and money can be put towards the mental health issues that cause people to use. |
Housing › Foreign Owned Homes
N>N Personal answerNo, implement foreign buyer and vacancy taxes instead |
Crime › Parole Hearings
N>N Personal answerI believe that more rehabilitation programs should be implemented at the beginning of a sentence and that the sentence should be reviewed at a minimum of 15 years. I believe that they should have to check a certain amount of "boxes" in order to be considered and psych evaluation be done. I also believe that rehabilitation should continue after release and that part of the condition of their release should be to continue these programs by teaching them within the prison system starting with those first arriving. This will create a new cycle of healing and growth with constant reminders of where one has been to where one can go. This solves the economic problem of lack of resources for rehabilitation support within the prison system as the prisoner receive training while in prison. Obviously, if their release is rejected, they aren't ready, qualified or emotionally/mentally capable of teaching. |
Elections › Right of Foreigners to Vote
N>N Personal answerNo, only legal citizens should be allowed to vote |
Housing › Home Buyer Incentives
N>N Personal answerYes, and the government should limit the number of homes that can be bought by a single person or corporation |
the Environment › Plastic Product Ban
N>N Personal answerYes |
Crime › Defunding the Police
N>N Personal answerYes. It is not fair to the public or to the police to have the police carry the weight of social justice on their shoulders. They need people training in social work, mental health and counselling with them at all times and police need to have training in these areas. It's time to move away from the militant tactics we've been using because they're not working and some of the police are as bad as the worst criminals they arrest. |
Elections › Minimum Voting Age
N>N Personal answerInteresting question. When I was 18, I had no concept of politics and didn't care one way or the other. The youth of today are different. More "woke". I feel like it should stay the same, but I'm happy to see that more young people are using their voice. |
Housing › Non-Resident Real Tax
N>N Personal answerYes |
Foreign Policy › Foreign Aid
N>N Personal answerIncrease, but only for countries that have no human rights violations |
Education › Postsecondary Education
N>N Personal answerFederal |
Science › Nuclear Energy
N>N Personal answerDon't take me down this rabbit hole. I believe there is other energy available not listed here. |
Transportation › Public Transportation
N>N Personal answerYes, but only if the spending goes towards environmentally friendly solutions |
Crime › Criminal Voting Rights
N>N Personal answerYes |
Foreign Policy › Bill C-51
N>N Personal answerNo, it is a slippery slope towards a police state |
Transportation › Green Transportation
N>N Personal answerI'll refer to my answer to the question about the use of nuclear energy. |
Education › Charter Schools
N>N Personal answerNo, and education should not be privatized |
the Economy › Decentralized Finance
N>N Personal answerYes, but only if it’s truly decentralized and cannot be manipulated by any person, group, or government agency |
the Economy › Cryptocurrency
N>N Personal answerThis one is tricky because new coins are being created everyday. I believe that yes, they should be recognized as legal forms of payment. But I'm more interested in what Blockchain technology can offer all areas of government and social assistance. |
Transportation › Commercial Drones
N>N Personal answerI don't know enough about this topic to answer. |
