I believe both should be able to work together within the education system to ensure consistency, workflow, and staffing.

 @8TKHXGLfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @9RZPX67from Alberta  answered…3mos3MO

depends on the credentials. what pays better, a consultancy in a mid level bureaucracy in Ottawa or some entry level paying oil rig job in Alberta

 @9RQNPMRfrom Nova Scotia  answered…4mos4MO

Both and they should collaborate to ensure that the education meets the future labor market predicted. Students should be discouraged from acquiring student debt to learn something they cannot find employment in.

 @9V576Z9from Alberta  answered…2mos2MO

It doesn't matter as long as they give better support and offer more money to help pay for students tuition by either enforcing universities to lower the tuition or help pay for some of the costs debt free.

 @9TZHZWZfrom Alberta  answered…2mos2MO

We need to better our country's spending to be inline with the money needed for higher education. Provincial should have more involvement, but federal would make better workflow if added.

 @9TYQ6MZfrom Ontario  answered…2mos2MO

Post-secondary education should be a shared responsibility between federal and provincial governments.

 @9TQZFQQfrom Alberta  answered…2mos2MO

both federal and provincial, federal for low income, provincial for high opportunity for people to stay in the province

 @9SSRG9Hfrom Manitoba  answered…3mos3MO

1 Federal university in each province for low income persons. Provincial universities that cost more but the ability for provinces to provide incentives in certain fields for those graduates to stay in province.

 @9S3NX6KConservativefrom Ontario  answered…3mos3MO

It should be a mix of both really I think all schooling should be fre to those who are serious about it

 @9RBYBX6from Nova Scotia  answered…4mos4MO

Education should be properly managed more as a way to create career assets. To go into postsecondary schooling, knowing the allotted debts one would have has discouraged many from being educated. Certain careers, such as; Doctors, Engineers, etc. should not have an insane debt, but should provide background checks and appropriate gradings to accept people to take the specific courses.

This way, I feel we'd have more people inclined to become Doctors and Engineers without a shortage. Passion is without debt

 @9RBPNXJfrom Alberta  answered…4mos4MO

I would say federal only because I'm in Alberta and the UCP is are kleptocrats, but under normal circumstances I'd say provincial.

 @9M78KHFfrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

Federal and Provincial should work together to create a proper point of view along with the public views as well (we should have votes for our education).

 @9LNPGWGfrom Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

Education should still be free but without government involvement, The government should have the outline but the PATs are stupid

 @9KMDGPJ answered…9mos9MO

Provincial management and limited federal standards in key subjects such as Maths and English or French.

 @9KKLP5Yfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

Academic institutions require regulation in terms of human rights and funding, but the government should encourage the pursuit of knowledge and public wellbeing through education as a general priority, perhaps offering more leeway to institutions than producing accreditation-based or labour outcomes.

 @9KB34G7Green from Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

I think we need to reevaluate how we’re teaching our children in schools. I think we need to teach them how to be good with their hands or entrepreneurs. And not setting them up to work at Walmart, the rest of their life.

 @9K58RGLfrom Yukon Territory  answered…9mos9MO

Both, this is obviously a federal and provincial issue. Federal standards for education as well as financial support, provincial allocation of financial support and monitoring.

 @9JZB4QWfrom British Columbia  answered…9mos9MO

The optimal approach for overseeing postsecondary education should balance provincial autonomy with federal involvement to ensure flexibility, responsiveness to local needs, consistency, and equity across the country.

 @9JVMDPQfrom Alberta  answered…9mos9MO

I do not care whatever government brings the most amount of money in and success of students for the benefit of Canada.

 @9JN3LGRConservativefrom Alberta  answered…10mos10MO

Both levels of government should play a equal role in making post secondary more affordable but nothing else

 @9HHTQD6Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…12mos12MO

It should be funded by both and have very strict guidelines as far as matching funding to academic success. If you don't succeed, it turns into an interest free loan. If you become productive in the field of training you were educated for. It's free after 5 years of employment in your field.

 @9H9CM57New Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…12mos12MO

Many students travel outside of their home province for post-secondary education, so it would be easier for students if it were all the same.

 @9H8XS2XConservativefrom Alberta  answered…12mos12MO

As long as we get free education; it doesn’t matter whether it is a provincial or federal responsibility.

 @9F5KMPVfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Back to learning. Not politics. Also teach about money managing, career opportunities real life issues. Also cater to different learning types

 @9D8SDMBfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Whoever at the time is better suited for making such decisions such as expertise and focus group.

 @9D6W69Tfrom New Brunswick  answered…1yr1Y

I believe we can get free education but there’s like a better version monetized, like Spotify and Spotify premium

 @9VGP7C5from British Columbia  answered…2mos2MO

The feds should kick in but the home province of wherever the post secondary school is located should too.

 @9V9R5P2Conservativefrom Quebec  answered…2mos2MO

It should be a federal responsibility because we live in a country where different places and provinces are poorer than others, and all over the country, people have the right to equal education. If we do not have an equal health system, some provinces will never improve due to a lack of students staying to learn in those schools.

 @9RDJFXLfrom Ontario  answered…4mos4MO

Geographically tightened. Ontario should be mandating job market issues and allowing students to pursue those fields.

 @9RBZ8DXPeople’sfrom New Brunswick  answered…4mos4MO

Provincial responsibility. No reason why prov and fed gov't not to make money through student loans.

 @9GPTXMRfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I think it needs to be a partnership in order to ensure adequate funding, standards and consistency.

 @9GJPKWTfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Support should include local municipalities through education that can be coupled with hands on work opportunities for students that know their career path while providing incentives to employers so they can still earn a diploma, Maintain friendships and support economic growth in their communities through job creation, especially in rural areas or smaller cities that do not have jobs within the students’ field of interest.

 @9FQ9Y26from Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Education should not b as generating business . So my opinion is that support student and given access to all regardless of afford or not because purpose is spreading education and if someone don’t afford that also have to have access to education and student have a right to give funding to themselves and then they if could pay to college and universities they ll pay and if there is class and if who don’t afford they must accommodate as they may b potential so if the y ll get education they ll b empower so deprive any one from education ll b a disaster so there must b passion to…  Read more

Provincial, that way theres more opportunitys for more specific education and resources, instead of just a "one size fits all" type of education

 @96FF56Hfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

A new system of of education similar to private schools. No government involvement regarding the education curriculum. Must be provincially or federally funded. Government must attain to strict and adhere policy to not tamper with the education system and curriculum; not to reiterate or change history; and to not deny science.

 @96CYT57from Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Neither, because schools are municipal not provicial and Justin Trudeau can't run schools.

 @95QSJH8from Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y
