Good on Poilievre for calling out the ethical mess the Liberals have gotten comfortable with—about time someone cleaned house. Requiring tax transparency and cracking down on backroom lobbying is exactly the kind of accountability we need in Ottawa.

Politicians policing ethics always feels like the fox guarding the henhouse. If Poilievre really wants to clean things up, he should start by shrinking government power so there's less to be corrupt about in the first place. More transparency is good, but let's not pretend new rules will fix a fundamentally broken system.
