It is already covered, and should only be applicable to transgendered persons, not people who decide they don't like gender roles and decide to be non-binary (a choice)

 @8GPGQX8from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but we should have laws that prevent any form of discrimination, but since gender identity is subjective it would be impossible to have a law that covers all the possible interpretations of gender.

 @8CRV6LZfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Its regressive to think that if a boy wears dresses it means he feels like a girl its just a boy who likes dresses

 @8MRPD4Vfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Anti-discrimination laws should only be used when there is real ham (fires from jobs, not allowed to rent a house, etc.) instead of protecting feelings

 @Mitchfyndefrom Nova Scotia  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8Z3PZTNNew Democraticfrom Saskatchewan  answered…3yrs3Y

It depends upon how it is used. Like if they are brutally murdered for being trans then yes but i feel someone would use this law as "someone misgendered me put them in jail"

 @8GR43MFfrom Saskatchewan  answered…4yrs4Y

Sexuality identity should be allowed, but gender identity should be allowed if medically Proven.

  @8VS7J8Yfrom Quebec  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but there are only two genders which are neurologically determined

  @8VS7J8Yfrom Quebec  commented…3yrs3Y

 @8T2CVZSfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

no, if you are born male you are male, if you are born female you are female there is not more then two genders, animals don't have more then 2 genders because their are not any more then 2

 @8V8BV2JLiberalfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes but there should be room for opinion and debate especially when it comes to children

 @B269GQMfrom Ontario  answered…4 days4D

I’m a very, let me know and I’ll go by that. But you don’t state. I’m going to try to identify by appearance.

 @9ZQ5RS7from Quebec  answered…1mo1MO

I don't believe people should be bullied for representing something different. But medically if in hospital or something related form there should be biological birth option.

 @9ZNXMHSfrom Ontario  answered…1mo1MO

Depends. Does your gender identity state your neither, both, or the opposite gender? Cool. Does your gender state that your a cat, or a bush, or an apache attack helicopter? No. Get over yourself, you aren't funny, especially since mentally ill people can take those things seriously.

 @9YN7462from Saskatchewan  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, as long as the person is at least 16 years of age and has the mental capacity to decide for themselves.

 @9WVGRDQfrom Ontario  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, but individuals should not go to jail for making mistakes. They should only if it can be proven it was on purpose

 @9VGR4J9from British Columbia  answered…3mos3MO

If and if theres like medically diagnosed prof of the person believing or transition yes. If its some random person made cause I said mam or sir on my first meeting and trying to freak out publicly no.

 @9VFDDL4from Quebec  answered…3mos3MO

No. If you're making it other peoples problem maybe you aren't suited for the job. It's not like race where it's something obvious.

 @9DHRMNZfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

If you’re a plant people should laugh at you. Other than that, I support gender identity added to anti-discrimination laws.

 @9VTCHMKfrom British Columbia  answered…3mos3MO

Yes/No. This should be case by case.
- For people who are genuinely non-binary, I am very much in favour of having anti-discrimination laws to provide justice for any type of hate crimes towards them.
- For people who take advantage of gender identities/gaslighting/narcissistic entitlement that thrive off of attention, these people should be consequently tried if they are causing unjust challenges for others based on the reasons I mentioned.

 @9VLMTC3Conservativefrom Saskatchewan  answered…3mos3MO

no, there are only two genders anyone who thinks otherwise is mentally ill and should get help you cannot just say you are something you are not like if you are born a man you are a man you can't just change that because that's how you feel yourself you are what you are and deal with it or go get help

 @9NKSC8Tfrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

No, I think it should be talked about and have policies, but not a big enough deal to have a law for it.

 @9MFRB3Lfrom Manitoba  answered…8mos8MO

Ok, so how the heck am I supposed to know what they classify as? And am not aloud to guess by how they look or dress. I find the idea of thinking your something your not just because you want to is stupid and those people need to go to rehab or a mental hospital.

 @9JC6BKVfrom Ontario  answered…11mos11MO

People with legitimate issues shouldn't be discriminated against, however there is a large subgroup of that culture that's using the litigation as a shield and playing a different power game that I would consider unethical, though I haven't given it enough investigation to determine exactly what's going on there.

 @9HJSSRYNew Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, however, there should be a distinction between one being confused about another's gender and, discriminating against someone due to their gender.

 @9GYSNHDfrom Nova Scotia  answered…1yr1Y

No, it is already covered and should be only applicable to transgendered people, not people who decide they don't like gender roles and decide to be non-binary.

 @9GCJ9X9from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

For the purpose of the government, protectivelaws should be based on sex, not gender. This would still protect the gay community.

  @Daboss2o1Conservative from Alberta  corrected…1yr1Y

It should not be. if you have a PP you are a man, a Hole there and you are a woman, there are no other combinations. and what your birth sex is is what you are.

 @9QPTZ8Tfrom Ontario  answered…6mos6MO

Yes, but only with the valid gender identities like non binary, gender fluid, female and male but people with outlandish pronouns should not be supported.

 @9KYBDDCfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

The often use of gender identity shouldn't be used as often, rather sex should be used. As such, gender identity would not required to be added to anti-discrimination laws.

 @9FD85P8from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I am neutral to these choices and I would like to stay out of the debate on gender, you can identify yourself as whatever you wish and I will not care.

 @9FBNJNZLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

im fine with male, female, trans and non binary but i feel like the other genders are unnessasary

 @9F98QSTfrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

go over basic anti discrimination laws and that no one should be attacked for who they are, however i dont agree with compelled speech

 @9F7DNYYfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but restrict the protected identities to male, female, both, and neither.

 @9F5KMPVfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Trans people should be free from discrimination, recieve government support and have access to medical care and resources. A person doesn't choose to be trans so they should be protected from discrimination.

 @9F5FC8S from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I’m undecided on how I feel about this topic in a broad stroke and currently consider it less important amongst other more pressing issues.

 @8YYK6BWfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

I thought it already was, but if not, such discrimination should not be allowed.

 @8TYY4JFfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Since when did society start adding all these labels to people?? This is part of what is causing such mental health issues, people feel they don't fit into any 1 specific group STOP ALREADY!!!

 @8RZGYHNfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only the person is proven to be transgender as is identifying and transitioning to the opposite gender.

 @8RQTCTZLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, how about we are all “human.” Why does it have to be so technical. I think people want more boxes, more confusion to put us in, a larger divide. We need unify, not separating us further and further from each other. Social media has already done that so successfully. People want to feel special, and that they are different and somehow disadvantaged or unique and have a reason to complain, or point the finger at someone. Less boundaries, less boxes, more leading with love and kindness. Your a person, I’m a person that’s it. We should be equally treated if we are purp…  Read more

 @8VB2DHNanswered…3yrs3Y

People should be able to identify as what ever they want. However, scientifically there is only two genders and that is what all legal documents should show, only two.

 @8P3F3JTfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No. There are three identities. Male, female, and the unfortunate margin of people born deformed.

We should absolutely help that unfortune margin of peolek to assign the gender of their choosing. However it must fall into one of three categories. Male. Female. Other

Nobody should be discriminated for their internal feelings, male-bodied people from birth are males, female-bodied people from birth are females, and intersex people are regarded as the sex they are mostly male or female

 @92RTRZZfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Anti-discrimination laws are too strict, and run counter to our right to free speech. No speech should be limited, unless it is actively calling for violence, or harm.

 @92MWQCFfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

Anti-discrimination laws should not depend on a fixed set of categories

 @8ZHHYDMfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Sex is a biological and unchangeable thing. Gender identify his more of a social thing, a social identity. Gender identity needs to be respected but we can't put it in laws, because it is something that can change. In laws identity needs to be solid, in things like legal documents and passports for example.

they're making gender identity too big of an issue when we should be focussing on over stuff. gender identity is important to an extent but is over ruled in some circumstances.
