A single strong public system, no subsidizing Catholic schools. Option to divert tax dollars to private/parochial schools.

It is important to improve public schools and increase teacher wages, but I also support independent schools and the resources that it gives to people who send their children to them.

I never used to be for private school, but seeing the difference between my friends children who went to public school vs private school is very eye opening. Every private school young adult is thriving, they do better under pressure, they handled covid better, the have more ambition. My friends with public school kids have young adults that are lost and flailing in life. I now think I’ll put my kids in private school.

I support having both private and non private schools. However, in public schools I feel its more important to hold teachers accountable to the career choice they made rather than just giving in to raise increases. Students need time in school, they are barely 4 hours in the classroom. fix that
