the Economy › Taxes
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Education › University Tuition
8>8 Personal answerYes |
the Economy › Minimum Wage
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Immigration › Deporting Criminal Immigrants
8>8 Personal answerNo, only if they have entered the country illegally |
Domestic Policy › Gun Control
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Healthcare › Healthcare Privatization
8>8 Personal answerLess |
Immigration › Immigration
8>8 Personal answerspeaking personally. I'm in love with an Indonesian person. We did everything correctly to bring them here to Canada for a visit. They were refused. There is no legitimate reason for the refusal that I could see. In fact I paid to get the notes of the immigration official. They wrote because we had met on the Internet first and because they were not wealthy the immigration official was not convinced of their return to Indonesia. to definitely be easier going to make it. The decision after paying to go to another city and get the biometrics done and everything else that was involved in the application process and then to be refused on the whim of some official it is unfair. He asked me to do your best to write the truth and tell it and you do and then you refuse without a good explanation. It is unfair. It' takes time & time to assemble everything needed. There should be improvements. This friend of mine is a good person and a hard worker and not a threat to anyone in anyway. |
the Environment › Environmental Regulation
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Immigration › Muslim Immigrant Ban
8>8 Personal answerNo However there must be a better way to screen people. There has to be a better way to screen them. I'm not sure what it is to be done but I'm positive it could be done better than it is. As I said in a previous comment I wanted to sponsor someone to come and visit. They live in Indonesia in a smaller city. They were refused without a proper or what I would consider a good explanation. The decision was totally made at the whim of some immigration officials that I have never even met. The explanation they gave was unsatisfactory because everything was done properly with the application. It really made my already diminishing faith in Canada go further down. My family has been here many many generations. |
the Environment › Renewable Energy
8>8 Personal answerI don't know |
Domestic Policy › Native Funding
8>8 Personal answerYes they need good water on reservations. They need healing. They are suffering from intergenerational trauma due to the genocidal crimes of the government. |
Domestic Policy › Drug Policy
8>8 Personal answerIf you decriminalize then do it the way they have done it in Portugal and offer services. If you decriminalize then provide it to addicts. Follow the models used in places like Sweden Norway Finland and as I just said Portugal. Increase treatment options. Increase educational component to those you are providing. Increase counseling. |
Crime › Parole Hearings
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Crime › Defunding the Police
8>8 Personal answercomplicated issue you need both police and you need Social and community-based programs both. The police need to be better trained as well in sensitivity training. The way our police deal with mental health issues is really an embarrassment. Better educate the police on these and racial issues and any other they are lagging on.They need to be held accountable. |
the Economy › Government Spending
8>8 Personal answerNope. There needs to be a more equitable distribution of wealth in Canada and in the world. Of course this will never happen because your average person when they get more just wants to hang onto it. Or wants to keep making more and more. No one really wants to pay more taxes from what I can see either. |
Domestic Policy › Worker Strikes
8>8 Personal answerThere needs to be a way of negotiating put in place that works without the need to strike |
Domestic Policy › National Daycare
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Domestic Policy › Energy Sector
8>8 Personal answerNationalize |
Foreign Policy › Foreign Aid
8>8 Personal answerOnce again not a simple question and not a simple answer. I'm all for spreading the wealth around. I'm also all for taking care of our own at home. |
Science › Nuclear Energy
8>8 Personal answerI only support it if it can be made safer |
Education › Postsecondary Education
8>8 Personal answerProvincially managed but with federal standards to ensure consistency |
Transportation › Public Transportation
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Foreign Policy › Bill C-51
8>8 Personal answerYou can't answer these questions just yes or no. Once again complicated. Generally speaking I'm not in favour of giving people with guns more authority. Something like this would have to be decided on a case by case basis. There is not a simple way to address this. If you can't do it properly then I will say no I do not support it. I'm leaning towards no because I really don't trust that giving the police more authority will help anybody really. So it seems up till now. Convince me otherwise |
Crime › Criminal Voting Rights
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Education › Charter Schools
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Transportation › Commercial Drones
8>8 Personal answerMore research needs to be done on this. If they just say yes it will get out of hand and there could be problems. |
