Why should I pay to raise your kids. We raise our own kids. If you can’t afford to have kids then dont

 @9WYDMSDfrom British Columbia  answered…3wks3W

Yes, its important for everyone to have free easy access to daycares so parents can focus on making money to give their children a better chance at life. we should always encourage stay at home parenting tho.

 @9VRBTLCfrom Manitoba  answered…1mo1MO

No, the government should instead cut taxes so that people can afford to send their kids to daycare. I don't want a woke far left wing government being in my child's daycare center.

 @9KG9KSMfrom Montana  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, if we can find a reliable way to fund it. Lower income people should be allowed to find affordable child care.

 @9HCP7QVfrom Alberta  answered…12mos12MO

No. The government should not be injecting itself into family matters or in the business of rearing people’s children. Cut taxes and spending so people can afford to raise their own children without state interference.

 @9GYSNHDfrom Nova Scotia  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, our children deserved to be looked and cared for in safe environments, and parents should not have to worry affording it.

 @9GNXXXTfrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

For a national policy, it would mostly be standards for each province to make sure that there are goals met for every child in terms of funding and care.

 @9FRKFKNfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Childcare should be free for anyone that is not rich and the government needs to listen to educators on how to make that possible

 @9F8BGJMfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, offering both free daycare for low-income and private daycare that cost

 @9F5KMPVfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Daycare should be free for every child. Children should have free access to preschool and day care. It's unfair to have parents pay money to have someone look after their child when they are forced to work to make ends meet.

 @9KBWSK8from Saskatchewan  answered…9mos9MO

No, this will drive small, private daycares and those that don’t allow government influence out of business

 @9JZP7TYfrom Quebec  answered…9mos9MO

Daycare should be public and controlled by provincial governments in thae same way as public education is

 @9JM6BQQfrom Alberta  answered…10mos10MO

Yes, but only for low income families and single parents but I also think that each province should decide and take in different factors.

 @8WPZ686from Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @93QZV7Zfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, our children deserve to be looked and cared for in safe environments, and parents should not have to worry about affording it.

 @8DBP8TMfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VK3V5Dfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

It should be provided but only for both working parents or single parents. Stay at home parents shouldn’t be provided with national daycare.

 @8M939K2from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

More funding should be provided for families to be able to have a parent stay home with their own children

 @96QP3KDfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

this is just a bandaid on the fact that corporations and capitalism care more about exess value then our lives. This should be a short term solution to the problem of a lack of a living wage

 @9434QJXfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

 @93WL6VFfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes but we should also provide more funding for mothers to stay home to look after their children.

 @93HTDKGfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

 @8XZYC7Yfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

This would be cheaper if it were not nationalized as long as no monopolies in the market form

 @8VV2P57from Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8VPHHHJfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8VLG64Nfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8VK33KSfrom Quebec  answered…3yrs3Y

It should be based on income and for workers only. No daycare should be possible for stay at home parents or welfare citizens. Or give access to these two groups but without subsidies.

 @8VJ2V7Vfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only for low income families that have a low income due to no fault of their own

 @8VHLQFBfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

I don't have children but it seems important to a lot of families. I think this is just a band aid. We need to strike a balance between earning potential and cost of living so families don't require a lot of unaffordable day care and can spend more time with their loved ones.

 @8VGTVB4from Saskatchewan  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8VDGRKTfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8V6KV7SConservativefrom Manitoba  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes as long as this does not mean less funding for day cares to make up for the parents reduced cost

 @8V58MRJfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Funding should be provided directly to low income or single parent families to allow for their choice in daycare.

 @8V2X3T3from Quebec  answered…3yrs3Y

again, increase the cost of living and this scenario wouldn't be necessary

 @8TYWCQ8from Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8TYQGSCfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

Only if its funded equally per person receiving. Quebec cannot reap the main benefits.

 @Steeviemacfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but organized through the provinces with funding transfers from the federal government.

 @8TX333Dfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, in addition to policies that allow families to truly choose if they want to return to work or stay at home to raise their children for a few years

 @8TQD5PRfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but similar to the educational system, there should be private and public daycares in which there is free childcare, but higher quality establishments for families who will pay for higher standards.

 @8TNJXJKfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8TJQYBBfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

No, rather provide free contraception and policies to promote having fewer children

 @8QWBJC6from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8PYFGKYfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

yes but each province should decide on how the policy is and only if we can afford it mostly.

 @8PV32S8Greenfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

YES! For working families that really deserve the incentives. Please put more effort into evaluating people that are manipulating the system. We have been allowing people to take advantage of our social systems while hard working citizens that are contributing to our government

 @EmmaTLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but it should be mandatory that children are vaccinated to be able to be part of the program

 @8PJMGYMfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Let each province decided, but my personal stance is no, we should focus on reducing spending, debt and deficit, but if we are going to support this than it should be for those who really need it only!

 @8PCRLKVfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Families should be able to rely on daycare policies wether if there low income families or single parents. It doesn't matter who they are parents should have equal polices in daycare

 @8P4JRW8from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8K28GMBfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but stop just creating childcare spaces and start creating a workforce that’s will stay. No point in opening childcare centres with no teachers or no qualified teachers available with low pay no recognition no pension

 @8H88ZMBNew Democraticfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Parents who want to stay home should be able to get funds instead of paying day cares.

 @8GYLS3Zfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

We should be providing income supplements to parents who choose to stay home with their children instead of going to work. Kids need their parents!

 @8GCGQP7from Nova Scotia  answered…4yrs4Y

No, we should not encourage parents to shove their kids onto other people.

 @8FLFBSNfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but offer the funds to parents if they choose not to use the daycare system

 @8DRN8XZfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

yes but with a lot of stipulations in regards to how the children are treated and i think it should be a federal system

 @9CCVGFRfrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

Yes and we should pay all childcare workers more money to match the work that they do and educations they receive

 @99L7RQQPeople’sfrom Newfoundland  answered…2yrs2Y

 @996L2JHfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

 @98FPFSYLiberalfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes. It's a very fiscally responsible thing to do, as children who are in early childhood education help develop many skills early on, and become more capable later on in life, but it also helps advance gender equality within the workforce, as more women can go to work, and fill in labour gaps which can help ease a lot of the tensions, and labour shortages in our economy which will only grow in the coming years.

 @986RT3Sfrom New York  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9864788from Vermont  answered…2yrs2Y

No, the responsibility of caring for a child should be on the shoulders of the parents of the children.

 @97KVS78from Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Only if it's paid from the government themselves and not my own taxes. Otherwise, everyone shouldn't be forced to pay for other peoples children.

 @9D36K4QLiberalfrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but it has to be on all levels, with provinces able to contribute, as well as cities/indigenous governments, as well as the federal government coming to a consensus.

 @8VRHTMDfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Do a tax credit or a payment instead because rural families can’t access the daycares

 @8DC736Tfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, everyone who is working with young pre-school children should be offered socialized daycare.

 @LDXVTVfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Businesses should be encouraged/incentivised/mandated to provide this if they require employees with kids to be present or lose their jobs

 @LDMQGNfrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

Kids needs their parents to be physically and psychologically present most of the time. The problem is about being forced to work all the time, not about having daycare services.

 @LW97WLfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Day care should be easily accessible for everyone and there should be subsidies for single parent families and low income
