Here are your answers compared to this voter’s answers.
Social › Abortion
9>9 Personal answerI don't believe the government should have a say in what my medical choices are. I am not pro-life. But I think with all the medical advancements we have now there's no reason to abort a child in third trimester so I can't say that I'm pro-choice. I think it should be allowed for medical up to a point. That includes the mental health of the mother. I think this is a case by case and we can't blanket a law for everybody. I'm pro compassion. |
Social › LGBT Adoption Rights
9>9 Personal answerYes, as long as they pass the same background checks as straight couples |
Social › Gay Marriage
9>9 Personal answerThis isn't even really a government issue is it? A marriage is a religious Church ceremony. The church makes the rules. I think same sex couples should be able to receive all the same government benefits that married couples do. |
the Economy › Taxes
9>9 Personal answerCanada needs to continue giving large corporations tax breaks for donating funds to social programs. Business needs to continue as usual. The middle class maybe needs a tax break they're the ones that are working the hardest and feeling the hardest crunch. |
Healthcare › Healthcare Funding
9>9 Personal answerOur healthcare system is so pathetic it needs such a revamp. Nurses and doctors don't need to be paid more they need their jobs to become easier. If we need nurses why is Canada not training Canadian citizens to be nurses. If it was shorten my waiting time in the ER and if everybody had their own GP. I think we could temporarily pay to educate people to put them in those positions. |
the Environment › Environmental Regulation
9>9 Personal answerWe should do what we can to keep our environment clean. Be responsible for cleaning up our mess. I don't know enough about what regulations are in place. |
Domestic Policy › Gun Control
9>9 Personal answerNo but increase the penalties for gun related crimes. And I'm going to look into this stand your ground lawn more I think I like it. |
the Economy › Minimum Wage
9>9 Personal answerNo, this will only cause prices to increase in a never ending cycle |
Healthcare › Healthcare Privatization
9>9 Personal answerLess, and there should be no privatization of the healthcare industry |
Immigration › Deporting Criminal Immigrants
9>9 Personal answerYes, but after they have finished serving their sentence |
Education › Student Loan Debt
9>9 Personal answerNo, everyone else had to pay their debts. |
Domestic Policy › Native Funding
9>9 Personal answerAt some point we have to stop the handouts. So phase into education training and social programs include them in business deals that involve their lands and clean up mess from other business deals that pollute their lands. |
Immigration › Muslim Immigrant Ban
9>9 Personal answerNo, banning immigrants based on their religion is unconstitutional |
the Environment › Plastic Product Ban
9>9 Personal answerYes I think we should ban plastics that don't biodegrade into a healthy product for animals and sea creatures. I do not think that plastic products should be replaced with paper. |
Domestic Policy › Drug Policy
9>9 Personal answerNo, we should legalize marijuana and mushrooms and study them. Increase funding for addictions prevention and rehab on all the other stuff. Increase punishment for drug dealers. And increase punishment for habitual offenders like 3years forced rehab. Instead of jail time. |
Immigration › Immigration
9>9 Personal answerYes, but make the process easier for skilled workers. And strictly screen immigrants for criminal backgrounds. Then regularly review them to make sure that they become ideal citizens. If they haven't and they're not thankful for being in Canada send them home. |
the Environment › Animal Testing
9>9 Personal answerYes, if we don't use animals how are we going to advanced these things. Just please do it humanely. |
Elections › Criminal Politicians
9>9 Personal answerNo, and disallow politicians that are under investigation for a crime |
Housing › Foreign Owned Homes
9>9 Personal answerNo, but implement like a ridiculously high foreign buyer tax. They can stop laundering their money here through airbnbs. |
Crime › Defunding the Police
9>9 Personal answerNo, I think you should increase training for police departments and add unarmed community-based responders for non-violent calls or mental health calls like wellness checks. |
Healthcare › Marijuana
9>9 Personal answerYes, and legalize, tax, and regulate marijuana instead of criminalizing it |
Elections › Minimum Voting Age
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Crime › Parole Hearings
9>9 Personal answerNo, I think only violent and perpetual offenders should be in prison. |
Elections › Right of Foreigners to Vote
9>9 Personal answerNo, why is this even a question. Only legal citizens should be allowed to vote and only legal citizens should be allowed to collect welfare medical and everything else that only legal citizens are paying into. |
Housing › Affordable Housing
9>9 Personal answerOnly if they're gorgeous homes for the elderly for our seniors that deserve a nice relaxing retirement. |
the Economy › Government Spending
9>9 Personal answerThis particular government needs to take a cut in their pay. Maybe start a payback program for what they've taken. |
Housing › Home Buyer Incentives
9>9 Personal answerNo, where's my subsidy. The government needs to fix our housing costs so people can get into the housing market. |
Science › Nuclear Energy
9>9 Personal answerNo, we should invest in cleaner alternatives such as wind, hydroelectric, thorium, and geothermal |
Foreign Policy › Bill C-51
9>9 Personal answerNo, the bill is too vague on the issues of scope, oversight, and accountability |
Education › Postsecondary Education
9>9 Personal answerEducation should not be a business. Canadians deserve the highest education. |
Foreign Policy › Foreign Aid
9>9 Personal answerStop, We need to take care of the people in Canada first. When all Canadians are prosperous then we can look to help others. |
Transportation › Public Transportation
9>9 Personal answerMy government should be taking all the taxes they get from the gas and making my driving commute to work more pleasurable. |
Crime › Criminal Voting Rights
9>9 Personal answerNo, if you're in prison I don't respect your opinion on what we are doing to make our country the best place to be. |
Transportation › Green Transportation
9>9 Personal answerNo, not all, just focus on infrastructure that is easy and cost-effective to replace |
Education › Charter Schools
9>9 Personal answerNo, we should focus on improving our public schools. And retraining the teachers that we have. |
Transportation › Commercial Drones
