A woman has the right to choose what she wants to do with her body. There shouldn't have to be a counterargument because this topic should not be debated. Any reason that a woman does not want to have a child is a valid reason. People who use the excuse of adoption being an option don't understand that many pregnancies are complicated and some women just don't want to be pregnant, and that is completely fine
@9FTWLZJ2yrs2Y
People need to be more aware of their sex life, and be more cautious and think more that with an always chance of having a kid, if it is necessary to take the risk.
@9FRY4CS2yrs2Y
Everybody should get the chance to live their best life and make the world a better place even if they weren't planned. the fact that people would take these poor people and just throw them out like garbage is also disgusting.
@9GFRJZV1yr1Y
You do not know the circumstances impacting someone seeking an abortion, and it is not the government's decision to decide this. Many people are struggling to make ends meet, there could be a medical or mental health reason, or they are just not ready to be a parent.
@9GDRYXC1yr1Y
Womens bodies are the ones that are ones carrying the baby, and makes the biggest sacrifice so the woman should have the choice on their bodies
@9GBCTKSNew Democratic2yrs2Y
It should be the mothers choice on if they want to get an abortion or not, because someone could get pregnant and it could be from the result of rape, or something out of their control. I don't think abortion is murder because you'd just be aborting a clump of cells and not an actual human.
@9G7DMZ72yrs2Y
I think it should absolutely be someone’s choice as to whether they would like to abort their own child. It should be up to them not the government.
@9GBD2J62yrs2Y
pro life will increase ptsd in humans along with child abuse, neglect, or more homeless families and people may resort to unsafe ways to self abort that can harm themselves
@9G5CV942yrs2Y
If the dad wants to leave the mom then the mom should be able to abort it. If the mom was raped, she should be able to abort a child that would only be a hassle and traumatic for her causing some sort of neglect or abuse.
@9G2XYSC2yrs2Y
It is a woman's choice what she wants to do with HER baby, especially people who have no way to have on should not have an opinion. What if the woman was raped? What if the woman doesn't have enough money to support herself and the baby?
@B46JGVZ4wks4W
Women have a right to decide what to do with their own bodies; criminalizing abortion doesn’t stop it from happening and just makes it less safe
@9G8CHKB2yrs2Y
what another person does with their body is none of your buisness. what happens to the baby of the 14 year old that your brother raped, your forcing her too give birth to this baby but you dont care what ahppens to if after. the foster care system is horrendous and your not doing anything to change it, not to mention the affect birth has on the body and the mind. your beliefs mean jack **** to everyone else so shut your mouth and mind your buisness. nobody asked you anyways. - a 14 year old
@B4PB7V54 days4D
I see too many parents not fit to be parents as it is. If we got rid of abortions we would see an increase on the public services that already can’t keep up with their demand.
@B4P2QQX4 days4D
When a woman's life is in danger due to a pregnancy, why should she keep the baby that could kill her.
@B4MS2SL6 days6D
pregnancy alone is a physically, emotionally, and mentally draining process that can cause irreparable trauma to a woman’s body and/or her psyche. it is unethical and unfair to expect someone to endure the hardships of carrying a baby to term - permanently changing her body - when she may not even desire to pursue motherhood. to honestly believe that compromising the life of a woman to protect an unborn, non conscious, and underdeveloped fetus is “pro-life”, is to contradict your own morals. if you don’t like abortions, don’t get one. what a woman chooses to do with her body is absolutely none of your business.
@B4M7C657 days7D
Some of these pregnancies aren't only rape but rape of very young women and children. IMO it's cruel to make a woman have her rapists baby, and even crueler to force a child to carry to term and potentially die giving bbirth. As a mother, the fertilized egg isn't even considered a fetus until it has began brain development. All life is life, so maybe pro life the environment the way you do abortions.
@B4LGQV21wk1W
Abortion is going to happen regardless of if it is legal, making sure it is safe and available will save lives
@B4L3JZC1wk1W
Women need to have the option to end a pregnancy so that they don’t take matters into their own hands.
a women should have the right to choose what she does with her own body. it’s no one else’s business but her own what she does with it.
@B46F2ZW4wks4W
Why is the life of the pregnant person not considered? How about the life of thec child who's forced to be born but is not wanted or able to have a good life?
@B4633VP4wks4W
A woman who has a pregnancy, whether accidental or planned should have the right to terminate that pregnancy safely, with medical help. All types of contraception should be free and easily available to help prevent unwanted pregnancie. Reasons for termination includes, but is not limited to medical reasons, for the mother or fetus, crime, or the fact the woman is just not ready and it was accidental.
@B45VQXF4wks4W
Your body your choice. I believe that all people have the right to chose what happens with their own bodies.
@B3PYW9C1mo1MO
There is a greater risk for pregnancy complications/mortality rates for women when they are denied access to termination options. You will also see an increase in child neglect, death, and mental health problems when a woman/girl is forced to birth an unwanted pregnancy.
Since a large majority of those saying pro life are affiliated with religion, predominantly Christian, I would say that you’ve read your bible wrong and you are twisting the words of your sacred book to match your agenda.
@B3JD4492mos2MO
If a embryo, or some cells is considered human and a life what is to say that semen isn't half a life?
@B3HH8LVNew Democratic2mos2MO
A woman should not be required to support a life using her own blood, energy, and resources if she does not fully consent to and want it. Forcing a woman to carry a pregnancy to term is torture and creates a society where women become second-class citizens with an inability to have a say over their own bodies on account of the GOVERNMENT's decree.
@B2Z3Q5X2mos2MO
I think an individual should have FULL and complete control on the descions that should be made for themselves only.
@B2XHDKF2mos2MO
Someone should be able to choose what to do with their body, its their body, theyre're choice, men shouldn't be able to choose for them, period.
@B2V8FX92mos2MO
Women should get to choose what to do with their own bodies. It is not beneficial to society to have unwanted children born and being treated horribly. There are many reasons for people not to have children like rape, not being able to afford it, age, etc.
@B2TLL8B2mos2MO
The mother's health, life and wellbeing comes before that of a fetus that may not even make it to full term. Every person has the right to their own bodily autonomy; forcing them to carry a fetus to term, especially if the pregnancy is the result of rape, abuse, etc, takes that right away from them. If a fetus was considered a baby, which it is not, then things like maternity leave and child support should start at conception. If the only reason a fetus should be considered as a baby is to stop women from getting abortions; it is not protecting the life of the unborn fetus, it is taking away the rights of women.
@B2ST6GX2mos2MO

@B2MBKBGNew Democratic3mos3MO
Most sexual abuse victims are women, the only gender that can give birth. Why should they be more susceptible to caring for a child compared to men?
if you think a clump of cells is worth saving over someone being allowed to choose what they want to do with their body then you are not really caring about the people or their health
@B2KCXC53mos3MO
What would happen in the situation of sexual assault or if someone needs a medical treatment to save their life. Even if it means the fetus will not make it.
@B2H6G8B3mos3MO
Pro life is selfish, you can have your own beliefs but never is it ok to force your beliefs on another person. It’s always been this way and it should never change. It’s a violation of woman’s rights to be pro life.
@B2FLJVP3mos3MO
Pro-choice is not just pro-abortion as there are a plethora of reasons that women may get an abortion ranging from SA to high-risk pregnancies to just not wanting one. However, I disagree with ending the life of a child. I have the empathy to understand that not everyone will view this the same way I do. All I care about is that they are fully informed and supported in their decision ever it is.
Fetuses don’t gain sentience until around 30-35 weeks, meaning they can’t feel pain like humans do (therefore, abortion isn’t cruel). Also, if a woman has a medical emergency and requires an abortion to preserve her own life, being denied that would kill not only her, but her child, too (so it’s not really “pro-life”).
@B2C4PMHConservative3mos3MO
In some cases, the woman's physical and/or mental health could be severely compromised if she is forced to carry a baby to term.
@B2BZVKH3mos3MO
Preventing abortions will increase abuse and childhood poverty rates, as well as the use of illegal abortions. Even with options like adoption, a pregnancy is a long term process can have heavy effects on a woman's body. Abortions are also utilized when the pregnancy becomes dangerous, and needs to be terminated. The life of an unborn fetus is not more important than that of a fully grown human being.
@B2BHJXY3mos3MO
If the woman became pregnant through malignant means, there should be the option for her to get the aborton, there is no debate about it. Those cases would have more negative consequences then if she terminated within the first few weeks. What if an underage girl was assualted and became preganant? She should not be forced to keep the fetus to term. As defined, the fertiilzed egg becomes a fetus after the first nine weeks of pregnany, essentially meaning it is matter within the woman's womb and does not have a brain or conscience, as development occurs during the fetal stage. No life is harmed with an abortion within those first two months.
@B2B9LQC3mos3MO
woman should have the choice to have an abortion depending on circumstances such as rape. Men do not have a right to decide women's anatomy.
@B2B9KCK3mos3MO
A fetus has no nervous system or consciousness. A thousand year old book should not dictate society.
@B247BW84mos4MO
You can still be Pro-life and allow for choice. Pro-choice gives the ability for women to have abortions if they deem themselves unfit for parenthood and/or dont want another child to go into the adoption and foster system.
@B23D4G24mos4MO
if its not your body its not your decision. You would much rather someone who currently contributing to society to live insted of a fetus whos never been conscious.
people deserve the choice. its nobody's else's business. taking away their right of choice is anti-freedom.
@9ZZ45JR4mos4MO
The woman should have a choice about what is best for herself and her body. No one else should be able to tell her how to handle her body.
@9ZXNYPZ5mos5MO
People should be able to have the freedom to decide what they want to do as they chose to conceive the child in the first place.
@9ZQ6ZHL5mos5MO
it's an infringement on an individual's human rights. You don't know a person's story or life and you shouldn't be able to dictate what another person does with their body. If you don't like abortions, then don't get one, nobody should be able to take away another's freedom simply because they don't personally agree with it.
@9YJ6YL75mos5MO
the government has zero authority to be instating restrictions on women’s right to reproductive health. any reason to have an abortion is a valid reason, and there should be no regulations placed upon the right to do so
@9TB7GK87mos7MO
Everyone will always have different opinions so for what I find best as a Christian is to stick to God's word and not let a baby die just because I don't want to keep it. Might as well let someone else adopt it who will take more care for it.
@9NGYNHC11mos11MO
It should be the mother’s choice, it is her body, she knows the reason to why she wants an abortion.
@9M9KB5D11mos11MO
It gives that kid a chance to live, and can give them a life, even if you are not able to support their life. (thus set them up for adoption)
@9LZPPMQ12mos12MO
Women should have a choice on what they do to their bodies. I don’t believe we should make a life-alternating choice for them when we don’t understand their circumstances; it’s unreasonable to do such a thing.
@9LV36HX12mos12MO
Why should your religion dictate the law, let people be free and make their own choices. People will do it anyway but if we make it illegal it will happen in dangerous and unsafe ways
@9LSLRJ812mos12MO
Each independent person is the sole decision maker of what happens to their own body. A fetus is not a an independent person and has no consciousness, so the opinion of the body they are in is the only opinion in play. Opinions of strangers have zero relevance on what a woman should be able to do with her body.
@9LSJW7H12mos12MO
People should be allowed to have an abortion if it was against their on will and can’t raise the child. Not enough money
@9LNWCFM12mos12MO
Giving whomever is carrying the child a choice on weather than will or will not having the child is important as maybe they are a minor, having money troubles, on medication that could affect the child, in an abusive household, a child of rape or incest or perhaps the mother physically cannot carry the child.

@9JQSSCV1yr1Y
pro life will cause overpopulation with children whos parents dont want them, causing more homeless, drug problems, criminals, overpopulating orphanages etc. people who want abortions likely made a mistake and should be allowed to fix it.
Criminalization of abortions is fatal, and hurts more fetus’ in the long run that have fatal fetal disorders. It’s necessary to women’s health as well as many pregnancies can kill women and many result from traumatizing events.
@9JN3LGRConservative1yr1Y
A fetus past the first trimester is a human being and receiving an abortion past this point should be considered murder. The only time an abortion should be legal past the first trimester is if the mothers life is in danger.
Using the pro-life augment that would mean every time a women is on her period she is killing a fetuses because, "why wouldn't she try and get pregnant to "SAVE" her "Baby". That sounds ridicules right? well what sounds even more far fetched, is that a fetus can even be identified as a baby. there are so many reasons why pro life will never make sense. and most pro life believers, are either men (who don't understand the pain of being pregnant) or are driven by religion. And religion has little to no room in politics.
@9HDHKN41yr1Y
how are you going to strip the choice of a of carrying and birthing a child from her? what if the woman gets post partum because of her circumstances and ends up killing herself and or the baby? what happens if the mother can not provide for her child and they end up homeless? Will you still be pro life then or will you turn your back on them because they are fully developed humans and nit just a clump of cells? what happens if the child ends up in foster care which is an extremally corrupt system and they end up with mental health issues or happen to pose a threat to society due to poor upbringings, will you still be pro life then??
@9GSPHPS1yr1Y
It's their fault that they had a baby and wanted to get rid of it when they could've easily prevented having one by not using protection and wouldn't of had to waste a lot of time and a life that was forming.
@B4MVR4ZConservative 6 days6D
Canada has had more lax laws for abortion than the states for years and STILL has less abortions per capita. Legalize it AND increase social programs to help mothers make safe and informed decisions
Fetus are not humanoids. The woman giving birth should have all the control in determining what is best for her body.
@B2S482C2mos2MO
Who are you to decide a “baby” who is just a collection of cells at that point has more value in life and more rights than the person carrying it and putting there life on the line
@9LY383Z12mos12MO
I think it is up to the women to decide what she wants to do with the baby. It’s her body who has to go through everything, and what if the women was raped and impregnated and didn’t want the baby.
@9FTWNW62yrs2Y
You are forcing women to give birth hell if they get rapped you're saying teen girls must give birth to the child and like there's people out there who could die giving birth.
@9FT9JTL2yrs2Y
A human life is in your hands. You can save it, or kill it. It is also your child. You should save it. It could have a great life ahead of it.

@B2QV53K3mos3MO
If a patient needs a life saving organ donation, any person eligible to donate has the choice to decline no matter the current religious views on it or if the patient in need of donation will die. They have the right to make a choice regarding their body due to the possibly life-changing effects it may have on their life and health. This should also be the case for abortions as pregnancy can impact a person's life heavily, both financially, physically, and mentally. They can choose to keep the pregnancy or they can choose to terminate it because they have the right to their own body.
@B3KQLB22mos2MO
There's not a compelling argument for letting the government tell people what they can do with their bodies.
@B2QTS5H3mos3MO

@B43SXTX 4wks4W
The best counterargument to the pro-life position on abortion is that forcing someone to carry a pregnancy against their will violates bodily autonomy, a fundamental human right. No one is legally required to donate blood or organs to save another person’s life, even if it means letting someone die—yet pro-life arguments demand that pregnant individuals sacrifice their bodies for months, often at great physical, emotional, and financial cost. Studies show that countries with strict abortion laws do not have fewer abortions; instead, they have more unsafe abortions, leading to high… Read more

There’s a lot of victims of SA, nobody in that situation should be forced to raise a child they did not want. Especially if the victim is young or not in the right state money wise or mentally to raise a child. This can also count for teenagers and young adults who get pregnant, sometimes people don’t have access to having safe sex or aren’t aware of it. Placing the burden of raising a child they cannot raise will make that child’s life horrible and we got enough kids in the system already. Banning abortion or putting high restrictions would most likely increase the chances of abusive and neglectful households too.
@B3CH8Y7New Democratic 2mos2MO
People should have the right to do what they want with their body. No matter if you believe it is moral or not
I think that it’s my body, and it should be my choice what I do with the child. Some victims of sexual assault and rape may not want to keep the baby if they have been impregnated.

@9FWNBW42yrs2Y
A fetus is NOT a kid yet. at three weeks, a fetus has all the human body parts, yes, but the life of the mother is more important than another life in your body. if it is a medical emergency that the mother needs to abort the child, then it is OK. Even if the mother wants to abort child it’s her choice. That’s why it’s called pro-choice. The argument a life is a life it’s not you that deciding it’s the mother’s choice you can’t flame a mother because she wants to abort a child. also, one of my pet peeves is someone that brings the Bible into an argument there are facts and there is proof don’t bring the Bible into it please.
@9GFL3LP1yr1Y
What if they got raped or assulted?
What if the baby will be born with severe birth deffects or mental health issues
what if the mom will die
@9G2XZT42yrs2Y
When an abortion is chosen the mother is really choosing to kill an infant. Though it can't communicate with you it is a living being who is just as important as you. Think if the roles were reversed imagine you as a fetus in your mother's womb. despite that you do not understand what has happened to you, your mother has chosen to abort you and you will never see daylight. These babies that people are aborting are children who are alive and would grow to be an adult just like all humans. In most cases, it is a choice to create a baby and if you don't want one just don't do it. Those who are forced I pity. Despite wanting a baby or not they have no choice. However
@B4PWZH43 days3D
Even if we grant that a fetus is a person with rights, no person has the legal right to use another person's body without their continuous consent. For example, we don't force people to donate organs or blood, even if doing so would save another person's life. So, even if the fetus has a right to life, that right doesn't override the pregnant person's right to control their own body.
@B4PNYGZ3 days3D
It's not the man that has to go through with the stress and pain of pregnancy and if the mother who is carrying the baby wants to either keep or abort the baby than that is her own choice about her own body and her own life, there is no ethical excuse that the man or anyone else should have a say in what the woman wants to do with her own body or life.
@B4RCFXQ 23hrs23H
Live a day in someone’s body and life. Everyone has their reasons for why they choose this option and should not be judged.
