The mother's health, life and wellbeing comes before that of a fetus that may not even make it to full term

Every person has the right to their own bodily autonomy; forcing them to carry a fetus to term, especially if the pregnancy is the result of rape, abuse, etc, takes that right away from them. If a fetus was considered a baby, which it is not, then things like maternity leave and child support should start at conception. If the only reason a fetus should be considered as a baby is to stop women from getting abortions; it is not protecting the life of the unborn fetus, it is taking away the rights of women.
