People should not be allowed to buy military grade weapons or anything more powerful then what you would need to kill a big buck. There should also be more restrictions on criminals gaining weapons.

I believe Canada should have "castle laws",and anybody should be able to own any gun besides mentally ill,and people with previous gun related violence

Ban handguns, unless used in shooting competitions. 5 bullet magazine capacity for all firearms, and a complete ban on fully automatic weapons. Any modifications to be upheld by prison time

I think all future semi-automatic firearms should be restricted/prohibited from Canada. It takes a lot more skill to use a bolt-action, pump action, lever action, revolver, or single shot firearm and is not something anyone off the street can cause AS much "damage" with as a semi-auto firearm. These other firearms are also generally limited to magazine size options by length of barrel, which is a great deterrence to shooting situations. Non-lethal self defense tools such as pepper spray should be legalized to prevent an argument for the need of guns at all.
