The 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings caused several states and cities to pass strict gun control measures. In response, state lawmakers in gun friendly states in the South and West passed bills that would strengthen Stand Your Ground laws and allow weapons in most public places. In 2014, 21 states passed laws that expanded the rights of gun owners allowing them to possess firearms in churches, bars, schools and college campuses. The federal government has not passed any gun control measures since the 1994 Brady Bill and 42 states now allow the possession of assault rifles. In the U.S. two-thirds of all gun deaths are suicides and in 2010 there were 19,000 firearm suicides and 11,000 firearm homicides.

No, it's good how it is now
Expand self defence law and allow the carrying of weapons for personal safety but ban concealed carry and introduce strict background check and psych test law.
only gun for mentally ill
The restrictions are perfectly fine. Something like 95+% of gun crime is committed with illegally imported firearms and the majority of the other 5% is committed with stolen firearms. Gun owners are background checked every day (veterans are checked twice a day), and lose their license if they commit a crime. Many of the recent bans on firearms were banning military-exclusive weapons from public use, which caused lots of panic when people thought regular citizens could own anti-aircraft weaponry for example.
evry one should be able to have a gun over 13
No, the system they have now is fine
I am happy with the current process of purchasing a gun.
if you pass the gun test you should be able to own a gun.
No, I think we have good gun restrictions.
guns should be hot pink with Powerpuff girl stickers to reduce sales
@8PWLS2W4yrs4Y
We should keep the use of guns for hunters, police officers etc… AR-15 and some handguns should be banned from the public
No, the gun restrictions should be loosened greatly except for those with a criminal background or mental illnesses.
@8NX7MV84yrs4Y
no, the current licence system is sufficient
criminals do illegal things it dose not matter what restrictions you place a thief is going to steel and a murder will kill. i think people need to look at this in a different way
Leave Canada's registration laws the way they are
I have my PAL/RPAL gun license, I got it to help me peruse a career in law enforcement as I believed it would help me. I love Canada's gun laws compared to America but they could be more strict, guns should not be in the hands of civilians but only in the hands of someone with government authority like a armed guard who moves money with an armored car and Police.
The process of attaining a firearm is already strong enough. there should be less restrictions on what firearms can be purchased to licensed carriers.
Yes, unless it is an airsoft gun.
@992VMHC2yrs2Y
More restrictions for urban areas, less for rural areas
@98YPCJZ2yrs2Y
Ban All Guns from Public use unless the Gun show Loophole is closed and individuals receive strict background checks, Psychological testing, and training.
there should be no guns allowed
I think that if someone wants to get a gun, they're going to get a gun no matter what country it is so I believe any more strict laws will make it difficult for people that actually need guns to get them.
@8T8C7534yrs4Y
Yes, they should continue with background checks anyone with a criminal background that involved any type of weapon should have to go through psychological testing and training
Switch to the Swiss model of gun ownership.
