No, restrictions on purchasing do nothing but affect responsible gun owners, increase penalties for irresponsible use and ownership and maintain checkups on those licensed to ensure compliance.

No. Our current firearms laws make no sense and they should be completely worked over to be less restrictive. The current system does a good job for firearms safety but then goes and arbitrarily bans thousands of models. The people who designed these laws have no idea how firearms work outside of what they see in hollywood action movies.

I believe Canada should have "castle laws",and anybody should be able to own any gun besides mentally ill,and people with previous gun related violence

Ban handguns, unless used in shooting competitions. 5 bullet magazine capacity for all firearms, and a complete ban on fully automatic weapons. Any modifications to be upheld by prison time

I think all future semi-automatic firearms should be restricted/prohibited from Canada. It takes a lot more skill to use a bolt-action, pump action, lever action, revolver, or single shot firearm and is not something anyone off the street can cause AS much "damage" with as a semi-auto firearm. These other firearms are also generally limited to magazine size options by length of barrel, which is a great deterrence to shooting situations. No, lessen restrictions for eligible citizens, yet increase restrictions for criminals and the mentally ill.

Non-lethal self defense tools such as pepper spray should be legalized to prevent an argument for the need of guns at all.
