Yes. Canada needs a National service which is not just the mouthpiece of the government but which can inform its citizens in a timely manner with a rich variety of content (similar to CNN, MSNBC etc.). It will be increasingly important in this time of political upheaval.

No, their funding should be set in the charter and require a large consensus to change. Public media is critical, but should be wholly non-partisan.

NO CBC is so incredibly biased in some topics its after spreading misinformation about the aquaculture industry. If people are going to be informed they should have access to unbiased reporting of events.

The government should decrease the funding, because a lot of what we see on the news is either fake, dramatized, or straight up a lie.
