It depends. I think its okay if they have proof that this certain person might be involved in terrorism and not just dependent on their first and last name.

While national security is an important goal to pursue I would have preferred if the bill took a more strict approach to minimal impairment and took more steps to ensure Canadians' charter rights are secure despite the renewed measures.

As a Canadian citizen, I have the right to protest in a peaceful way against whatever I like. I should not be arrested, or be spied on or tracked just because I have protested for/against something. Bill C-51 should only be for people that have given a reasonable amount of evidence that they are endangering others or will commit acts of terrorism.
