I hope so, we need a time where we can resoulve our problems with words, not weapons.

 @9HZBZV3from Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

I don’t ever think the entire world is gonna be against wars and violence especially because we can’t all agree on anything never mind conflicts

 @9J3KJMK from Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

I believe it is superficial to have a world where war is obsolete because the world in itself faces hundreds of obstacles. Such as political tensions, cultural differences, grievances, and to mention it is innate for us to feel some aspect of competition and self protection.

 @9HXNQ68New Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

eventually everyone will have weapons of mass destruction and no wars would be able to happen without the planet wiping out itself

 @9J4CK2Qfrom Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

As technology advances, there will be better and better ways to defend and counter attacks from said weapons of mass destruction

 @9J45M9Ffrom Ontario  agreed…1yr1Y

maybe people will eventually realize that if there IS a nuclear war. NO ONE will come out victorious... because no one will be left...

 @9HN5ZG3New Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Since the human race is complicated the likelihood of that happening is very low.

 @9HD9MZVfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

No. History repeats itself all the time. War will always exist because we are humans. War will exist for all kinds of reasons such as self defence, greed, gaining property etc. It is in our nature to seek war.

 @9K5WY64from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

No, unless everyone is united, war is an important factor for both technological and physiological development.

Only 8% of global governments are true democracies. Authoritarianism is still very much alive and as long as this continues, imperialism will follow.

 @9KDLF6Cfrom Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

There are to many haters in this world. There will always be people who disagree on things and think war is the best way to solve it which sucks.

 @9JVMF7Wfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Realistically I think that humans are too intelligent and too fast paced to be able to fully let go of violence.

 @9JYLP3Nfrom Quebec  disagreed…1yr1Y

we are complicated little monkeys all riddled with internal biases, prejudices and hypocrisies. conflict can and will always arise at some point or another when our values clash too harshly.

 @9JXD6CJfrom Ontario  agreed…1yr1Y

Humans are very stubborn people and i think this person is going off a vision that there will alwasy be someone who views the world with older ways and that will almost always cause conflict in the world.

 @9HR5PGH from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

We could if our governments didn't fund a genocide because of greed and a lack of concern for human life.

 @9HPLKNGfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

No. There will always be a person or people willing to sacrifice either lives or the safety of their country because of personal narcissism and self-glorification.

 @9HLXR29from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

No, I believe war will always exist. War is something that happens a lot today and I can't really see it coming to a end anytime soon.

 @9HD4NRNfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

No, I think that there are too many different types of people in the world, some with severe religious beliefs that will always fight no matter what

 @9HL4P67Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

No. There will always be people who work for their own benefit. Wars are caused by the selfishness of a few in power.

 @9HCRSYRPeople’s from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

 @9HG7TKHLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I think that war is a never ending cycle and I dont think that our world will ever reach the point of complete peace.

 @9HDTK2Pfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

No. War and greed will always play a part in society. I simply hope that we can reach a point where there is no war, however there will always be cases where it is valuable for people to go to war.

 @9HCV2TNfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Likely not. Humans are prone to violence and fighting. There will never be a time when war is eradicated.

 @9HF5FF9from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

In my honest opinion, we are already there. The threat of nuclear retaliation has made most direct offensives way too risky. If every country had a stockpile of nukes, no country would invade another country.

 @9HGGJ73from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I don’t think we will ever reach a point where war does not exist. As much as I hate war and conflict, it is sadly a part of life.

 @9HDYNFKfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

never. human's will always fight for more power, until they realize God is all that matters

 @9HCZV68from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

No because as long as there is greed and its mixed with intelligence, someone will be able to start a war.

 @9K4H6WCfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

No. Humans were built to destroy and always will find an excuse to keep making bigger bombs,bigger bullets,bigger guns and bigger egos. War will never stop,If we ever find ailens I am certain that someone would try to start a war with them.

 @9KC67NRLibertarian from British Columbia  agreed…1yr1Y

There will always be some bad apples in the basket, to even try to achieve a world where there is no violence is to chase a utopia, and chasing utopias almost always ends up creating dystopias.

 @9JYWVGQfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I don’t think humans will ever reach a point where war is obsolete because we don’t even understand that right now and there are constant wars + the weapons that we have now lead me to believe that we are gonna kill ourselves before we can ever reach that point

 @9K5RXGHLiberalfrom Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

I don’t think war will be the end of the world that is why I disagree, though I agree that war will never be obsolete

 @9K6LLJPfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

 @9KF8QLZLiberalfrom Alberta  agreed…1yr1Y

I feel a war is going to come soon, the way the government handles things now is shocking, for example in palastine there is 1000s of people getting killed in horrible ways and nobody is doing anything about it.

 @9K6LKQTfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I think that eventually war will be obsolete because it seems to be a never ending cycle of violence that usually proves to be useless as it is often just war over people wanting more and or simply holding judges.

 @9KDKYS6from Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

Hatred will never reach extinction. Whether it is difference in religion, policies, desire for more land, or racism, there will always be conflict between nations and people.

 @9J8R9BDfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I do not believe that humans will ever reach a point in which war will be obsolete, as a lot of nations gdp come from defense contractors and weapons manufacturing facilities in conjunction with the shear amount of ideological differences in the world, I believe it is clear that humans will always find a reason they see just to kill one another.

 @9K446FRfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Unfortunately, I don't think we will reach a that point, at least not for awhile. There's too many disagreements between world leaders and many of them are "pro-war" and have gained supporters who are also pro-war. So unfortunately I think this will be an issue for many more decades, centuries even.

They always do is fight to the bitter end, instead of sharing materials they would forcefully take them from

 @9HQXFMQfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

No. War will always be a constant; it has for as long as man was man. Tribes fought fiercely, and planes shot severely. The only way that man will learn war is bad is the hard way; extinction.

 @9HJ8VQ3People’sfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Potentially but as long as there is someone who is in high power and has access to things that others aren't. There will always be things that stand in between that make people feel less.

 @9HCVPS2Liberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I don't think the human race will ever reach a point where war is obsolete, because greed will always be a thing all humans feel. If we reach a point as a society where we can exist without wanting to take other people possessions, we can live in a world without war. Because we can't do that yet, war will always be a part of the human race, because violence is the only option in situations like that.

 @9HDWGHZfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

No because everyone will always want something from a different country and that could even include world domination so no i dont think the world will ever reach a obsolete point

 @9HDWB8Qfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Yes. However, to put this into perspective Anti-War also means anti-security. Sometimes people need to understand that we cannot live in a world where security is weakened or dismantled. Strong security makes strong leaders and a strong nation. War itself in my perspective should be seen as prevention of violence and oppression especially against terrorism.

 @9SWJ4RXfrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

No, we are to selfish as a species and we always want more then we currently have.

 @9JPWY28from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

 @9J4Q7Q9 from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

It's hard to say. Greed will always exist unfortunately. Greed always leads to war. Its the reason why the West attack other countries for resources, thus legal immigrants come to the Western countries since their places are destroyed or damaged.

War helps generate money unfortunately, the top five oil companies (Chevron, ExxonMobil, Shell, BP and TotalEnergies) have made over 134 billion dollars off the Ukranian war. Its very wrong to use war as a way to make money when lives are lost. So abolishing greed would be impossible even with heavy and strict accountability but you can try your best to lessen it as much as possible. We could have a century of peace if the right steps are taken very very carefully (slim chance) but war being obsolete is beyond reach.

 @9J4KPP2from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I do not think war will ever be obsolete. However, I do think we can reach a point where governments aren't spending billions on domestic and foreign military endeavours while individuals starve at home. War should not be more profitable than investing in the care of citizens.

 @9J2ZK4Tfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

As much as I wish for a world without war, it's challenging to predict the future. However, I believe that as the human race continues to progress and evolve, there's hope for a future where conflicts are resolved through peaceful means and diplomacy. It would require collective efforts, empathy, and a commitment to understanding and respecting one another. While it may take time, I believe that striving for a world without war is a worthwhile goal.
