Do you think the human race will ever reach a point where war is obsolete?

 @9HDSZK7from British Columbia  answered…12mos12MO

I don't think that there will ever be a time when the human race will experience complete world peace.

 @9HXHR3YNew Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…11mos11MO

I hope so, we need a time where we can resoulve our problems with words, not weapons.

 @9HZBZV3from Ontario  disagreed…11mos11MO

I don’t ever think the entire world is gonna be against wars and violence especially because we can’t all agree on anything never mind conflicts

 @9J3KJMK from Ontario  disagreed…10mos10MO

I believe it is superficial to have a world where war is obsolete because the world in itself faces hundreds of obstacles. Such as political tensions, cultural differences, grievances, and to mention it is innate for us to feel some aspect of competition and self protection.

eventually everyone will have weapons of mass destruction and no wars would be able to happen without the planet wiping out itself

 @9J4CK2Qfrom Ontario  disagreed…10mos10MO

As technology advances, there will be better and better ways to defend and counter attacks from said weapons of mass destruction

 @9J45M9Ffrom Ontario  agreed…10mos10MO

maybe people will eventually realize that if there IS a nuclear war. NO ONE will come out victorious... because no one will be left...

 @9HN5ZG3New Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…11mos11MO

Since the human race is complicated the likelihood of that happening is very low.

Would you support a friend or family member who decided to participate in a peaceful protest against war, and why?

 @9KJZGZ9from Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

Yes - peaceful protest is a fundamental right and there is always a non-violent solution

Could learning about different cultures and histories decrease the likelihood of conflicts, and why or why not?

 @9J7SMJPNew Democratic from British Columbia  answered…10mos10MO

Definitely, provided the learning is thorough. Understanding other cultures increases our ability to empathize with them and recognize our shared humanity, which reduces the likelihood of employing violence as a conflict resolution strategy.
