Yes. There’s simply too many people. Limiting the growth of our population will save our environment.

 @B4PDCFRfrom British Columbia  commented…2 days2D

Just because those people are not coming to Canada doesn't mean they don't exist anymore and won't impact the environment. The country where they are from is most likely suffering way more and is definitely more dense in population than Canada is. We should help Canada get better by accepting more immigrants and find ways they can contribute to helping our country by paying foreign taxes, restrict the number of properties they buy and make sure they are needed here in high demand professions and not taking someone else's job or staying unemployed.

 @8QR8QNXPeople’sfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

yes don't let any immigrants in at all and let our country be full of real canadians.

 @8CTWWJ8from Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

No, make the process easier for skilled workers and refugees, but not accept violent criminals.

 @8P9YHMHfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, because the more people or immigrants the prime minister brings in the more people would vote for him.

 @9G9BS6ZConservativefrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, because canadian citizens can barley afford to live here. in order to allow more immigrants we have to have a financially feasible living situation.

 @B3YW962from Alberta  answered…1mo1MO

Yes. Close the borders. Deport the 5 or so million international students and TFWs, and deport the 10-15 million foreigners who have gotten citizenship but should not have been allowed to have come here in the first place, and deport all their families and offspring too. Canada should be for Canadians, not the rest of the world. If your grandparents weren’t born here, if you’re not of at least majority British or French ethnic background, then you should be up for deportation.

 @B39YY6Rfrom Alberta  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, I feel like the government should focus on ensuring that the citizens are taken care of before bringing in more and more people. There are a lot of issues with jobs and housing that need to be dealt with, more job opportunities and affordable housing.

 @B2P2T62from Alberta  answered…3mos3MO

Yes, but make the process easier for refugees.screen immigrants for criminal backgrounds and regularly review recent immigrants to ensure they have become productive citizens

 @B2H27FGfrom Alberta  answered…3mos3MO

Yes, and they must follow up yearly to prove employment or school credtianels. No government funding, no free pass

 @B2FKZYDfrom Alberta  answered…3mos3MO

yes, but there should be checks before entering and no discimnation based on anything to do with the indviudal it should be a non bias checkup.

 @9ZKKRXNfrom Alberta  answered…5mos5MO

Yes, we have too many people coming into the country when compared to our infrastructure and housing. We need to build more if we want to let more people in.

 @9T5CJT8from Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

Well, we should look at housing and job employment before bringing more immigrants as we are going through issues that Canada is currently not fixing. They should allow immigrants in, but have sufficient resources to supply them.

 @9T5B6VLfrom Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

my opinion said the government should give a chance to international students, who spent more than 6 years being students in Canada. Why 6 years ? cause it's been a long time, not just came from another country study college or University to get PR but students has started study in highschool.

 @9SZ9PFQfrom Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

yes but within reason, we need to fix canadian problems while also supporting immigrants into canadian society

 @9FR4Q6CRhinocerosfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

No, and make the process easier for refugees, while accepting anyone who’s not a violent criminal, or with any criminal records

 @B4H5T5Zfrom Alberta  answered…1wk1W

More people working to make applications go faster and more skilled workers that don’t get held up fitting in the Canadian healthcare system. More programs for when they get here so they can work faster. Allow extended family so they can help with childcare. First thing is to build affordable housing to get rid of homeless people and have housing for the immigrants.

 @B4DK78Pfrom Alberta  answered…2wks2W

We need to have the infrastructure to support the number we permit and there needs to be ways to certify and/or supplement training for skilled workers to be able to fill gaps in areas such as healthcare.

 @B4D5XSXfrom Alberta  answered…2wks2W

I am in favor of making the process easier for skilled workers and creating programs to transfer or upgrade credentials to help them work in their trained fields, thereby filling gaps we have (e.g., healthcare workers), but we also need to have the infrastructure to support them or else it's not fair to anyone.

 @B4BF3T3from Alberta  answered…2wks2W

The government needs to increase processing efficiencies and make immigration easier for skilled tradesman and professional to address employment demands in canada.

 @B49GQMMfrom Alberta  answered…3wks3W

No, but provide sufficient services in place that will provide immigrants with the adequate services they need.

 @B2BK8ZTfrom Alberta  answered…3mos3MO

The government should have stricter policies for immigrants from countries that are over-represented for producing terrorists, but should be lenient towards other countries.

 @B286ZK4New Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…4mos4MO

Yes, but make the process easier for refugees, strictly screen immigrants for criminal backgrounds, more guidelines/rules regarding funding for refugees and immigrants for less financial impact on Canadian citizens.

 @B27PJGNNew Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…4mos4MO

no, its already harsh to get a visa, but allow for enough immigrants that we can afford to accommodate.

 @9VMM6BBfrom Alberta  answered…6mos6MO

Conditions to citizenship need to be monitored and then people should be charged with crimes when they somehow make those conditions by paying for those positions. I have seen too many supervisor/manager jobs go to immigrants with no experience over Canadians with experience. 100% there is wrong doing, it's wide spread, it's easy to spot and nothing is done to stop it by the government.

 @9TWGQ52from Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, Ensuring those immigrating to have a proper job before entering the country. Its really stupid in the job market when you have a 3rd party getting a job over you, when your more qualified because the company thinks they can pay the immigrant less. Stricter policies ensure that doesn't happen as much while also holding the company accountable for who they hire.

 @9TVQQC4from Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

Take the money that goes to aiding immigration and help Aboriginal communities in need or help to pay educational costs for them.

 @9TP237NConservativefrom Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

Make the process easier for refugees, but also check on the immigrants to see if they've been productive since they've been here.

 @9T7XY37from Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

The main reason for our housing prices doubling in the last how-ever many years is due to Trudeau letting in far too many immigrants when Canada didn't have enough space for all of them, they're also occupying the vast majority of minimum wage jobs which is heavily interfering with canada's new generation getting jobs and introduced to the work force.

 @9Q6NY5Xfrom Alberta  answered…10mos10MO

Yes, we currently have too many immigrants, but for the new immigrants in Canada have regular reviews on their life to ensure they have become productive citizens, but also ensure their living conditions are safe, and reasonable.

 @9MX2TPBfrom Alberta  answered…11mos11MO

Incentivize immigration so new (prospective) Canadians settle where they are needed, economically and socially.

 @9MMYRQ7from Alberta  answered…11mos11MO

Accept the people who are good with no crimes but people with crimes look into there background. But also don't let too many in because of overpopulation.

 @9M7PZL8from Alberta  answered…12mos12MO

I want to be able to bring my inlaws here so that the family is together but we have waaay to many people coming in for it to be sustainable

 @9KMFJ99from Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

No but make the system scan immigrants to insure they are positive additions to the country and are not violent offenders.

 @9KLW5CWfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but have 3 year trial program to ensure immigrants adjust well, where they will be checked on and assisted

 @9JVY7SYfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Make the process easier for refugees, and no. Unless Canada is going through an overpopulation crisis at the time.

 @9JQ8T5Jfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Cap non-refugee immigration at 1% of the total population per year, but streamline the process & update the intake numbers at every census.

 @9JGJXCPfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

No, but we need to start implementing a stronger respect for canadian culture, they can continue their culture here of course. But there is a big difference between how we are expected to respect culture, like say going to Japan for example and following their social culture. And then when people come here they are often let off easy. It depends on the situation but there is a trend in these scenarios happening more often.

 @9HXTRY4Conservativefrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Too many migrants come in and suffer from high housing prices and prices. We should limit the number

 @9H6GJSNfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Due to our high number of immigrants within the country, the government should make legislation in which individuals who are educated within their country can have an opportunity to prove their skills here to achieve their desired work. In the future ensure a more diverse immigrant population as well as maybe have more regulations of immigrations example, having desirable skills, education or anything of such.

 @9H4KM54from Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

There are way to many Imagrants. Why are there so many coming in and taking Canadian jobs. It used to be that Imagrants had to apply to come to Canada but Trudeau want to fill our country with as many imagrants as possible. Not fair for Canadians

 @9GMVZJGfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Yes and No. Have them well screened and make sure they will be productive citizens If they do not show reposibility of becoming productive citizens, re-consider their immigration application.

 @9FCM27Ffrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Accept immigrants, but make sure that the citizens of Canada are employed and their needs are met.

 @9FBW3RLfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9F49T5Rfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

no, and have refugees go through the same process as immigrants. make immigrants and refugees equal in terms of citizens.

 @9F42NPPfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

The government should not enact on a stricter immigration policy, unless they have a criminal background and have been caught many times

 @9C8YBHHfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, screen immigrants for criminal backgrounds; if it turns out they do have a criminal background, they must prove that they are okay via psychological evaluations, community service/rehab, etc

 @9BWPS6Mfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes. It is a priviledge to live in Canada and needs to be more strictly monitored.

 @96KSTFXConservativefrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Strictly screen and provide criminal background checks for immigrants and depending on how severe those crimes are and how often they’ve committed crimes they can be admitted into the country.

 @96DKKV9from Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

if our country is pro-diversity then why would we spend so much money on it.

 @95PBDZ6New Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Immigration should be supported, but not hands-free. Screening to ensure the decrease in immigration of dangerous criminals escaping conviction, or other dangerous criminal offences immigrants may hold, should be part of the process, but the process should also be humane, fair and understanding, with no racial bias of the workers, and affordable.

 @92ZT9QCfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

 @92XK774Communistfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

I think immigrants should decide if they want to work or go to school, and would have a parole officer check in every once in a while. They would be able to qualify for student loans to go to school, but background checks would be have to be done

 @8YX98K5from Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8YPFZCWfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8YDJYP8from Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

no, but we should make it easier for people living in poverty to immigrate, the current system is very classist

 @8YCQ7HQfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Just check if people are actually trying to be a proactive and productive citizens

 @8W2L44Pfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but there should be a probationary period coming into the country. The government should also be taking care of it’s own people first, especially indigenous reservations that STILL have no running hydro which means no water yet they fork out so much money to support immigrants.

 @8VVHCFWfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VS5CDJfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VRLFZVfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, make the porcess easier for non criminals, but make sure they have become protective citizens for up to 10 years

 @8VRJ25Yfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but give the same due process to refugees as other immigrants waiting to enter Canada , but expedite processing

 @8VQNZB8from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes strict screening for immigrants for backgrounds and ensure they become productive citizens that speak English

 @8VMDPV8from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes and no. If they are workers they should be allowed in AFTER a screening process. However, to prevent overpopulation they should check the policies

 @8VK2PLFLiberalfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Allow immigrants who are going to participate in building the country and no government funding for at least ten years them working and paying tax

 @8VG6MFSfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

I find current policy sufficient, but in my opinion government should review recent immigrants to ensure they have become productive citizens. As an immigrant, I've seen a lot of unjustice when immigrants from "problem countries" were getting much more benefits than they actually needed.

 @8V8KRXDConservativefrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, strictly screen immigrants for criminal backgrounds and we should regularly review recent immigrants to ensure they have become productive citizens

 @8V6JB2Mfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but it should be easier for skilled workers to work in their area of training.

 @8V55QDJfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, Canada relies on immigration both socially and economically due to our low birth rate

 @8V2DMPYfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but review immigrants to ensure they are becoming productive citizens.

 @8TYFKX8from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, it should concentrate on fixing the bureaucracy so that that applications and refugee screening is streamlined.

 @8TVSZGNfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but limit the number to skilled workers to avoid 'brain drain' of developing countries.

 @8SSCJP2from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Immigration policy’s are currently racist and corrupt and need to be abolished and renewed in a anti-racist manner!

 @8SJFNL9from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8S9VD4Qfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

They should not make immigration stricter, but be mindful of what is best for the country at the same time

 @8S9G5MQfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8RXXKS2from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Background must be conducted for criminal or potential terrorist political ties... productive citizen or financial ability to support the country should be required - not a drain on public funding. A review after is redundant if the police is followed

 @8R9YBHVfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

If people already have family here and do not have a criminal record they should be able to come to Canada

 @8QY9TZHfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, make them stricter but change what they are strict about and what areas they cover.

 @SakshamPfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Stricter in a way where immigrants who have a slight criminal background will need to pass a check to make sure they won't do any violent activities in Canada.

 @8QFGC29from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QDSHBXCommunistfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, screen them and do background checks. Also check in on them to make sure they are being productive citizens.

 @8QCV97Pfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, and make the process easier for those without a criminal background

 @8PW3MV4New Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but review to ensure immigrants have made it functionally into society

 @8PSGPZ8from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

I think that we should direct more funding to helping canadian citizens improve their economic outlook from Immigration, but also allow skilled people the opprotunity to move to canada alongside their families easier.

 @8PKC9GGfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8P36KPWfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8NYJNV3from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but from countries that do not respect canadian values(china, russia, north korea)

 @8K82XPPfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

not necessarily but they have to have a screening process to make sure were not letting terrorists in
