The question is poorly worded. Have they already obtained citizenship/ PR status, which would make them immigrants or are you referring to migrants as indicated in your "learn more" tab...

 @B4BJ899from Quebec  answered…2wks2W

Yes, but every case should be treated differently. If there is aggravating factors such as rape or murder, then the person should be deported.

 @B45ZFDY from Quebec  answered…3wks3W

No make them serve their time where they committed the crime, deportation after time served is continuous punishment

 @B4DJNCPfrom Quebec  answered…2wks2W

Yes, unless it was "ethical" (ex: assaulting someone to defend family from physical attack, theft to survive, etc...)

 @93CT7VZfrom Quebec  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes but only if the serious crime is violent or otherwise directly harmful to people rather than a company etc.

 @935T7R9from Quebec  answered…3yrs3Y

I think it depends on how serious the crime is, and if it caused harm to someone intentionally. Even then, they should be tried and sentenced the same as a Canadian citizen would be. In absolute worst case, they should only be deported if it is safe for them to return to their country.

 @8YC6HXMfrom Quebec  answered…3yrs3Y

It depends on their status. If the person is a Canadian citizen (including dual citizens), a permanent resident of Canada, a person registered under the Indian Act , or a protected person (refugee status), then no.

If there status is anything else (visitor visa, worker permit, etc.), and they commit serious criminality and are convicted of that crime, then yes. There should be an appeal process depending on the crime the person was convicted of.

 @8XKT3BGfrom Quebec  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only if the crime was committed within the first 5 years since they have immigrated in the Country and only after they have finished serving their sentence here, also if they have entered the country illegally then yes, they Should be deported immediately after they have finished serving their sentence here.

Depends on the crime. They are too strict on small offences. Onle crimes of a sexual or violent nature should be deported

They should face our federal law system and serve our punishment, they should be deported if they entered illegally.

They should be thrown in jail forever, the same as any other criminal that commits a serious crime such as rape (serious and life-altering to the victim) or murder (except in the case of self-defense, such as a woman who is being domestically abused. They should be given a medal.).

Depending on the type of crime. if it is self-defense based, then no. they should not.
If it is a one time offense depending on the gravity of a situation, an assessment and psychological evaluation should be made to ensure that they are not a danger to society. if they are judged dangerous, then yes they should be deported as long as it is safe for them to return to their country. otherwise they should serve their sentence here.

 @8FB86GLNew Democraticfrom Quebec  answered…5yrs5Y

No, if they are a Canadian Citizen, they should be tried in Canada and stay in Canada

No, deportation of immigrants is not a good solution. Instead of deporting someone who has committed a major crime, we should monitor their activities in their personal lives, and their careers. On the other hand, we can deprive them from some social and residential rights.

Depends on the severity of the crime. Hate-based or religion-based etc.

 @8H74MVGfrom Quebec  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes if they have entered the country illegal, but no if they are residents or citizens.
