More Privatized options would be good for the people that can afford to and that would free up space in the medicare system for everyone else

 @B4BJ899from Quebec  answered…2wks2W

Less. Nurses and other employees should not be allowed to work for private agencies. We should increase scholarships for nursing and medical students, especially in isolated regions. But, we have to invest money to make the system better. We should not have to wait 12 hours in a waiting room. I also do not want to have to remortgage my house to pay for medical bills, so privatization.

 @B48NXNXfrom Quebec  answered…3wks3W

More, maintaining public system but allowing private institutions to exist to both release pressure from public services and economic competition.

 @B2SX7XJfrom Quebec  answered…2mos2MO

There should be no privatization of health care in Canada. Funding for health care should be expanded and evidence based training for doctors should be expanded. This should include Eye exams, mental health access and Dental health.

 @B2SRHC3from Quebec  answered…2mos2MO

New Zealand has a fantastic way of triaging services so that ERs are not open to public walk in, patients are triaged by phone to appropriate services to reduce wait times and ambulances or other driver services bring patients to the appropriate Public Health Service and not always to the hospital! This reduces public spending in healthcare and reduces wait times. Also nurse practitioners should be able to have their own practices free from physicians.

 @9ZL3SHKfrom Quebec  answered…5mos5MO

people with privatized insurance should be covered completely by their insurer, as opposed to the half assery happening to my partner and i right now because its expected that we can get a doctor via public healthcare but we can not because the system is SO overloaded right now that finding adequate healthcare is difficult.

 @9YGLGV2Greenfrom Quebec  answered…5mos5MO

Less, there shouldn’t be privatization of healthcare. However, public health care workers should be paid more and given better working conditions.

 @9V9R5P2Conservativefrom Quebec  answered…7mos7MO

I think we should n privatize more healthcare system because lots of Doctors are leaving Canada due less pay by the government

 @9RFL9JKfrom Quebec  answered…9mos9MO

Give people private option that is their right and liberty is morenimoortwnt that anything else. However imorve public system by asking more merit crating reward doctors who save lives infrease their salaries Gove them tax cuts punsoh bad doctors and nurses. Import best Healthcare workers from the world by improving working conditions .

 @9QV4KY2from Quebec  answered…9mos9MO

More but private having to accept the social insurance card while receiving what it costs in the public service for the same act/service

 @8VTQKZMfrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

Less privatization and run our free national healthcare like a business. If people abuse the system by using it for every little thing then that's a problem. Stop kiboshing the fact that we have free healthcare. We pay much in the way of taxes to have this system but it should be run more like a private company where we reduce expenses and increase efficiency and effectiveness. If people with big money want to pay to have private that is their prerogative.

 @B2MJQM8from Quebec  answered…3mos3MO

Less, private should be at the expense of private users/the private industry. You shouldn't privatize something, you should create something new that is privatized

 @B29LRCHfrom Quebec  answered…3mos3MO

Privatize, but heavily regulate the sector, provide no question coverage to low income brackets, and act as an insurer.

 @9RBM3QYfrom Quebec  answered…9mos9MO

A hybrid of both public and private options should be made available. Public healthcare spending should be reviewed to ensure maximum spending efficiency. Doing so would actually cut the amount of money needed to properly fund healthcare. Quality>Quantity.

 @9LCFWGTNew Democraticfrom Quebec  answered…1yr1Y

If one can afford to pay for Healthcare issues they be able to... this would decrease the current burden in emergency rooms

 @9GZYG4Jfrom Quebec  answered…1yr1Y

More, and provide healthcare vouchers and healthcare tax credits for low income individual/families.

 @9FLWJ53from Quebec  answered…2yrs2Y

 @B2WTBBNfrom Quebec  answered…2mos2MO

Hospitals should be independently-run and non-profit, and the government should have a monopoly on health insurance.

 @B2ZJGTPfrom Quebec  answered…2mos2MO

More where it makes sense for example where the lacks of doctors and nurses is the most pronounce. It can be temporary as well. For instance if there are less doctor in cancer at the moment then open up the private industry to take the patients. If not necessary then don't do it

 @99VDW7Xfrom Quebec  answered…2yrs2Y

More privatization, with heavy regulation and cost control as a public utility.

 @8YC6HXMfrom Quebec  answered…3yrs3Y

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, I would say the health care system needed to be reformed. The results they provided was not accurate to the amount of taxation being allocated towards it. Healthcare spending mistakes did not have consequences to those that made them and a lot of money was not spent with the intent of providing quality health care to communities. Though I am not for privatization in healthcare,

Theoretically I don't like the idea but in reality, public services cannot meet all the need.

More, but make sure the system remains equitable and accessible to all Canadians regardless of income.

 @8TWF8VMfrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8TBL8BWfrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8SYLNDPfrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

Neither, but enough private services should exist to meet the demands of those who would rather pay for services than use those provided by the public sector

 @8SF7HN3from Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

Less, however those who are high income earners should be encouraged and in some non-emergency cases be obligated to use private clinics or hospitals

 @8S5D7LRfrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

Government subsidies should be used for medications of rare diseases and nationalization of companies that are making too much money from healthcare

 @8PYJ427Greenfrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

Larger investment into public health care sectors but allowing citizens to decide between privatized healthcare or public healthcare.

 @8NYXR2Pfrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

I'm for whatever option cuts down wait times and puts less strain on hospital and healthcare workers

 @8NWX3VPfrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

Hospitals should be run more like businesses and focus on service. Make it a competitive secteur. Make it a well regulated public private partnership. Managed by a private corporation but funded by government.

 @8HXYBYJfrom Quebec  answered…5yrs5Y

I was born with a condition and require blood products. The healthcare system gets clogged with people that abuse the free system yes, this is where privitization would be benificial but for me to have to pay for my medicine would bankrupt me. However, I do believe my life is not more important then the next.

 @8GN36YZfrom Quebec  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, more privatization. Example: $25 user fee for emergency room visits.

There should not be less privatization of healthcare. However, the governement must increase public healthcare.

 @8VS8T4Jfrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

all private instead you have private health insurance for those who can pay and public health insurance for thos who are average like in australia

 @8VQZJTXNew Democraticfrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QK244Zfrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

Do both. Increase resources in an already poorly managed system (IE Quebec) and introduce privatization for competitiveness. Allocate resources towards healthcare better. Reduce bureaucrats FTEs and replace with nurses and doctors., pay them better.

 @92L9QF7from Quebec  answered…3yrs3Y

More, but subsidized by the government so healthcare is free for citizens

 @92FTNBQfrom Quebec  answered…3yrs3Y

Just make it easier to access if you add more because not everyone can afford it
