Canada should accept refugees from Syria if they benefit to their country in some way. Canada will not be diverse enough if all Syrians are let in.

 @962LKT4from British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

 @95WDL7Wfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

We should focus on Canadians first before accepting more people. The middle class is suffering and many of us cannot afford to rent or let alone buy a home. Grocery, phone costs, gas, ICBC insurance rates are suffocating.

 @95QRN2Bfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

no because the government is giving them houses instead of the canadians that were originally struggling.

 @94VP9NSfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only after extensive background checks and continuous monitoring for the first month, then sporadic monitoring (maybe once a month, check in on them) for 2 years.

 @94BGQXFLiberalfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

Increase spending to help more local areas support refugees thereby helping many more people

 @93VFHQZfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

As of now...Muslim folks should be back ground checked before entering Canada.

 @93QGJ9Xfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

I believe we should keep them in their home countries. Set up safe communities for them with free education, health care, etc. Clean water and plenty of food. Teach them how to fight and leave them to fight the terrorists themselves. Help them push back Isis and reclaim their land

 @93KRLRBfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

Refugees from Syria should come into canada the same way immigrants come into canada

 @9393LCWfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but heavy amount of background check should be involved. Not just Syrian refugees but with everyone.

 @92VHL4Pfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes but with better programs and support systems that don’t take away from Canadians

 @92SBLVXConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

Canada must join the world in doing away with the rulers in Syria that cause the conditions that force refugees to flee. We can not solve all the worlds problems by having the entire population of such countries move here.

 @92L9KW7New Democraticfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

 @923VLB3from British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but with some basic background checks and minor amounts of monitoring if they are suspected of terrorist connections

 @8XMTVYDfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

We should only bring in people that will accept Canadian values, learn the language, and agree to work.

 @8W667TTfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

I do agree with accepting families but there should be a sort of limit of accepting people from syria.

 @8W65T45from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8W4QJ7Yfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VWXDZSfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but use careful and diligent background checking. Strict rules must apply.

 @8VVYZ7Kfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

As long as canada is thorough in making sure that they know and follow the rules

 @8VVRDLZfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VVNSYLNew Democraticfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

yes, but only for people who were desperate to live. Provided that they will have equal rights with a temporary worker in this country.

 @8VVNJZJfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but not have any set amount. It should not be a set number. Add them to the pool of others seeking entry to Canada.

 @8VTSVRYfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, we should, but I feel they don't need to come into Vancouver's most expensive place to live. Why can they not go to Alberta or Saskatchewan or even up north of BC?

 @8VSDKLTfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VRC25Nfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VNSBGDfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

We can't keep adding more but i understand it is the humane thing to do as well.

 @8VLSBVRfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Feel we should put resources towards local issues such as affordability, medical and health facilities

 @8VLRYJRfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, I believe we should help others but we also need to address the housing and food crisis for people in our own country.

 @8VKT5KYfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VHM4PKNew Democraticfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Accept families and provide adequate supports to help them adjust to life in Canada (e.g., connection to employment/educational opportunities, free English lessons)

 @8VGKC24from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

I like the idea of us helping people in dire circumstances, but I HEAVILY Dislike the fact that we feel they are more provided for than people and families BORN in Canada, we should be accepting less than we do.

 @8VFCQBFfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but not too many at once. Has to evaluate each refugee’s circumstances and allow them to slowly integrate into Canada society

 @8VF4KSFfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Good people who immigrated legally and have something to offer should be allowed

 @8V7LS65from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Helping many in the world, is humanitarian, but forgetting Canadians who were born here and ignoring us is not fair or the answer... Much discussion on this needed

 @8V7KWDTfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only if they are not going to be an economic drain (on public welfare programs)

 @8V5LQXBfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes. But they need to abide by Canadian rules, become citizens with extensive routes. Contribute to society. Not able to collect welfare.

 @8V5JTV7from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, butnonly after we have stabilized our economy and given jobs to Canadians first

 @8V4M9G4from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Don't let in terrorists and reduce the number of immigrants, in total, without skills we are lacking in

 @8V25FH9from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8TY2YD2from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

  @8TXVXMLfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8TW2QG2from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Only families who have gone through extensive background checks and only if there is housing and jobs available.

 @8TVBPLKfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8TV2JLJfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

We have homeless and starving Canadian citizens born and raised we should worry about first.

 @8TNPS7Wfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

should really look into improving lives of Canadians first and not stick to some random number of refugees to accept just to feel good

 @8TMKPJQfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Only Families and Sexual minorities,screening should be done without prejudice or cruelty but accuracy is important,we shouldnt accept anybody or too many people.

 @8TB77YJfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QX373Rfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QQFY3Gfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QN8KG4from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

If we just continue to let everyone into our home whenever they want to come over it is no longer a home, it becomes a drop in center. I know these people don't just want to come over such as the average house guest but that they are actually fleeing from their homes. I like that we help people but I feel that sometimes it comes at an expense we cannot afford. There is a reason for walls and boundaries. I support helping others but I do not see many of these refugees in the homeless shelters in the major cities here in western Canada. I also do not see many of them using the free food lines in major urban centers in western Canada. It makes me wonder if these refugees get more support financially from the Canadian government than the Canadian citizens who are in the most need living at or below the poverty line?

 @8QMTD7Xfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Safely house and feed non military aged refugees and train military aged refugees to obtain their country back

 @8QK74GZfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Send the obnoxious communist Chinese back to their country as they are taking over Canada, and accept any Syrian refugees.

yes be it, we make sure their not bringing in any viruses and take the necessary Medication to make sure they won't catch anything from us.

 @8PMWCZCfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8P9TNPBConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

After an extensive background check, and if Canada has available space and resources to accommodate the refugees

 @8P6NKHGLibertarianfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8P3QP58from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8NWB6MXfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

We should eliminate any opportunity for terrorists to enter the country and stop any government income assistance funding

 @8NLLSC3from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but not so many, I feel like there just be a number set in place for how many we can take in because soon it’s going to be more then we can handle and all our resources are going to run low

 @Jatzuyufrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only ones with absolutely no connection to any leader or bad person from their previous country.

 @ZaneThind17New Democraticfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but make sure there's a great background check so one has terrorism background.

 @8L28LZLfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8KNBBB9from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8KLY3PNfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes if they are women and children and families who have been thoroughly investigated before entering our country.

 @8KKZQKRfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

No, we should be taking care of the people we have here already. We can not afford to put more people on social services. The only people we should accept are people that will be contributing to society, educated people or skilled labor.
