Educational institutions & government should join to evaluate the need for skilled workers, then provide $$$ incentives such as free tuition & small living allowance to Canadians willing to train to fill these gaps. We have too many unskilled, unemployed arts degrees, and educators are still pushing students to a prestigious ARTS program.

Our education system should be tailored to the job market. Too much utter waste of artsy fartsy programs when people can't find a plumber.

Keep the current amount the same, but implement policies that prevent companies from taking advantage to decrease wages/exploit workers.

Eliminate and put laws in place to prevent a program similar to it from ever being implemented again.

the government needs to provide opportunities for these highly educated immigrant to get jobs in their fields because often they end up working for Uber because they cant get a job in their field. another major issue is that they don't have the canadian certifications for their fields of expertise but are quite educated and have the certificates that their country of origin needs.

Monitor how this impacts our economy and increase or decrease as is needed. Ask for more detailed public input and provide more information to the public in terms of information across the board.

Make it easier for current immigrants to transfer their skills without the next to spend high amounts of time and money to retrain for skills they already have.
