Same sex marriage is morally equivalent to opposite sex marriage. It's none of the government business the gender of a couple getting married. I support marriage. Marriage can be between any two consenting adults, a man and a man, a woman and a woman , a man and a woman, a genderfluid and a woman, a enby and a man. Not allowing queer marriage is discriminatory.

 @9H4KM54from Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Same sex marriage is wrong, I am tired of pride and anything to do with lbgtq, I don't want to see the rainbow flag anymore or rainbow crosswalks. The rainbow belongs to God not homosexuals. Tired of having the issue shoved in my face on television radio. Homosexuals should not be allowed to have children. There should be a mom and dad in the home so children a good upbringing

 @B2KP2D4from Ontario  commented…3mos3MO

statistically speaking, a lot of kids only have one parent present with straight couples. I don’t know what planet you live on that a good upbringing includes a “mom and a dad”, doesn’t really matter who’s raising kids as long as they’re cared for and loved.

 @B29S3WSfrom California  asked…3mos3MO

Not agreeing or disagreeing, but why not?

How does a gay parenthood harm the adopted (or surrogated) child? I'm not attacking or anything, just wanting to understand the FULL story with NO dramatization whatsoever. Just the cold hard facts. How can the gay people POTENTIALLY harm their children? Oh, and please leave religion out of this. Just the true facts that can be proven.

Same sex marriage should have nothing to do with any institution, it is between those getting married and that is it.

 @B4FM9XBfrom Alberta  answered…2wks2W

Yes, same-sex marriage is already legal nationwide and should be treated as a human right rather than a privilege that can be denied.

 @mintybudgie from Montana  agreed…1wk1W

Take religion ceremony out between 2 genders getting married. Allow the marriage license through the government

 @9J4LJ4Sfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Its not up to me to decide, its a personal decision based on personal beliefs. Government should not be involved in marriage.

 @9H34J25Libertarianfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Take the government out of marriage it is a decision only between the two people, up to each religion whether they want to allow it

I personally disagree with the homosexual lifestyle, but it doesn't really make a difference to me whether or not it is legal.

From what I understand government involvement in marriage was for the protection of children. The 'legal' institution of marriage has been eroded to be fairly meaningless. New laws to protect children may be in order.

 @B2RX3TQfrom Alberta  answered…2mos2MO

I support the right but do not support same sex marriage. Churches should refuse same-sex ceremonies but people should be legally allowed to be married in same-sex marriages.

 @9ZZ37MKConservativefrom Alberta  answered…5mos5MO

Yes but certain cultures have the fight to reject the ideas of same sex marriage such as Christianity, Sikhism, Islam they have independent rights to function as they desire

 @9ZYC2HLfrom Alberta  answered…5mos5MO

I do not support same sex marriage. But I believe have the right to do what they want, even if i do not agree with their actions.

 @9FMPCV8from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

I don't have anything against it but I don't have an interest in this topic.

 @9F9S3CZfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

I do support, and its fine if you are proud of your sexuality but dont make me have to be proud of it.

 @9F92WTDConservativefrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

yes they should because people can love who they love and should not be discriminated against that

Yes, I just personally don't agree with it but I will not judge others because of it I will treat them like everybody else

 @B2FKZYDfrom Alberta  answered…3mos3MO

no, theres already places that allow it therefore everywhere shouldnt have to change for them if they want it they should go to those places.

 @9KZ9LTCConservativefrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

I don’t agree with same sex marriages but I don’t think the right should be taken away. You shouldn’t go to jail because you choose to love someone. Even if we think it is wrong it’s not my place to judge.

 @9JVMDPQfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

I do not care. As long as it dose not affect me. I think people should have the right to not believe in it. Churches can be allowed to refuse the same-sex marriages.

 @9V3BFHYfrom Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

Churches and other religions or views of people that do not agree with same-sex marriage or marriages with lgbtq+ have legal right to say no to marriage of their property and can exhibit refusal of lgbtq+ people entrance on ones property or space.

 @8YZF2WXfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

I dont mind because it's their decision and we should let them do what they want

 @8J3Z6Z6Greenfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

yes, no matter the sex of the people getting married they should be fully supported and we should have more safe opportunities for them to do so

 @9STG5TRfrom Alberta  answered…8mos8MO

its not my right to say I don't really care but marriage is marriage and if you love that person let them get married if they want too

 @9SSDCDYfrom Alberta  answered…8mos8MO

Im religious but I do not have a opinion on this if someone loves another person they should be together.

 @8R9YBHVfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

The fact that we allow citizens to decide if two consenting adults, that are strangers to them, can be married is ridiculous

 @8QRNKHZConservativefrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yea go for it, don’t care , people wanna be gay and do there thing, I’m all for it

 @9Q6N7G4from Alberta  answered…10mos10MO

The government should not be involved in what two parties decide to do, as long as it’s not forced from any side family members.

 @9BBHV97from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, although I don't agree with it. Allow churches to deny ceremonies to same-sex marriages

 @8CL9ZVFfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

As long as they don’t flaunt it or keep it mainly in the bedroom then sure. No gay pride parades either

 @MadisonR69from Alberta  commented…4yrs4Y

Pride parades are to commemorate the stonewall riots, a major turning point in gay rights history.

 @8SDSV3Cfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

It depends on the individuals to choose to marry the same sex of course. Since Canada is diverse and open to everyone's differences it should allow people to marry the same sex, however I personally disagree with same sex marriage due to my religion.

 @933LMPXfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Truthfully, I am torn. But churches need to be able to reserve the right to say no.

 @92M8FFHfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Last I checked that was legal as of 2005 with the passing of the federal Civil Marriage Act which made same sex marriage legal across the country. Answer regards is yes, since it already is a thing.

 @8Z73KYHfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Remove government involvement in marriage (such as tax breaks,) and allow the couple to decide how to designate themself (such as marriage under a religious institution or civil unions.)

 @8VRGYKYfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

I don't care about it but don't want it thrown in my face by having a parade

 @8VQSXZCfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VQ2T9Ffrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

yes but religious places like mosques and churches should be able to refuse ceremonies of same sex marriage

 @8VN2H54from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

People’s choice of their body should be their decision. Their decision who they want to be with

 @8VLTQ8Hfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

I think that it is up to people to decide whomever they want to marry except themselves.
