Its the womans body, she carries the life. Its her choice to keep or abort it. The circumstances surrounding the conception aren't my concern, neither is the choice and free will of another human being, I only have and excercise the agency of self.

In an anti-abortion world, women have less of a right to decide who gets to use their organs to live than dead bodies. And I don't agree with that.

Sexual assault has continued to rise in Canada; it was 18% higher in 2020 and at its highest since 1996. There were 34,242 assaults in 2021, how many of those resulted in an unwanted or unprepared pregnancy? https://sexualassaultsupport.ca/statistics-sexual-violence-in-canada/

There is also the argument of bringing a child into a home surrounded by domestic violence. The statistics show a huge increase in sexual assault within domestic violent relationships. Preventing someone from seeking an abortion when they are faced with this situation and the trauma that could come from it, is not for the government to decide.

I just don’t understand why people get so worked up about this. It literally has NOTHING to do with you. I miss the days where everyone just lived their own lives and it was okay. Why do people need to police others ? It really doesn’t matter what someone decides to do with their own life and body. How is this even an argument

I believe that women should have the power to make decisions regarding their health care. Accidents happen, assault happens and so does abuse, I would not want to have a child I wasn’t ready for, nor be tied in an abusive situation because of it. I wouldn’t want to bring a child into my home before I was ready to have one, no one should be forced to have kids.

You don’t have to agree with everything people say to be pro choice, you just have to believe in freedom and human rights

 @9LZGMJQfrom British Columbia  agreed…12mos12MO

if someone was pushed to do something they didn't want to. examples being sexual assault especially at a young age why should they have to not only live with the trauma of it but also the fact that they may not be able to help or support the child they would have to have.

 @9LZ224Vfrom Ontario  agreed…12mos12MO

Almost eve eu singe pro-lifer says “what if the kid could cure cancer” by that logic the kid can be anything so they can grow up to be a good person or a really evil one.

 @9LNBK9LNew Democraticfrom Alberta  agreed…12mos12MO

Young girls who are not ready to have a child, poor people, disable people, rape, incest are all times when people may need an abortion

 @9JQSSCVfrom Alberta  agreed…1yr1Y

pro choice will allow people who have made mistakes feel less guilty and be able to continue on with their current life style. if they have an unwanted child they may no longer be able to support themselves or the child.

 @9HCMTP6from Ontario  agreed…1yr1Y

Anti-choice is merely a tool people use to supress others. If they gave a **** about the unborn child, they'd demand more money for education, healthcare and supporting the poor but they wouldn't give a **** if it died a day later or not.

 @9FFH58Dfrom Ontario  agreed…2yrs2Y

Realistically a forced birth will only kill a woman and her unwanted child, or a child forced to carry a child, these people should not have to endure bodily-harm because of bigoted ideologies, and that church should be separated from law. No woman or child should go through with a birth that will could possibly kill them.

 @9FDTJXXNew Democraticfrom Ontario  agreed…2yrs2Y

People can get pregnant not under their own terms (rape,etc) or at a time they are not physically able to raise a child (teenage years, poverty, etc) so they would just be putting the child in a bad place if the parent wasn’t allowed to choose to abort because the parent might not be able to support a good life for the child or could struggle caring for the child as they are a constant reminder of a traumatic situation. In the end, it’s their body and them that has to experience pregnancy and everything that comes with it so it should be their choice

 @9FCB7V6from Ontario  agreed…2yrs2Y

Just really try to imagine it happening to you or someone you love. Do we allow young children to adopt? When we have such strict conditions for adoption, even for those of age and married, how are we allowing young children who've been raped to raise their own children.

 @B2S482Cfrom Alberta  agreed…2mos2MO

There are plenty of precautions already in place regarding abortions there is no need to take away someone’s right

 @B2KGBX3 from Nova Scotia  agreed…3mos3MO

I only have one view, with all the rapes one out of every three women but it is higher, if there is an issue like mental well being, or problems in having the child , women's would die if she didn't get get one she would lose her life.
