Pro-choice has so many more opportunities for healthier or safer babies and protecting women from any hardships that a baby would put on their mental health, financial situation, education, and even physical health. It also provides the option to terminate the embryo due to forced SA. The women/men/those who are ready and prepared to have a child will make the decision to keep and those who are not for any reason will decide what is best for THEM and THEIR bodies. There are already medical restrictions in place to protect babies who are past the stage of abortion. If they can choose to safely abort it should be their own decision with guidance from a medical profession who supports them.

Every person should have autonomy over their own body and a right to choose as their choice affects the entirely of their life. They also could have conceived under traumatic circumstances such as sexual assault and should not be forced to go through with such a pregnancy.

Her body her choice. The pro life argument has a point after say 5 months of pregnancy. But if a woman is raped and has no choice but to keep the child that is outrageous

It’s stupid. How is somebody else’s life choices affecting you personally ? The pro life people are always advocating for anti abortion but when that child ends up in foster care or having a tough life where are they? They don’t have the same beliefs and views about that same child after the fact which goes to show you that it’s more about control and not about pro life.

If a fetus is not viable and requires its mother for sustainability, the mother’s bodily autonomy is priority. Women are the only ones who should make decisions regarding their own body (and life!) and government interference is abhorrent.

the fundamental flaw in the pro-life position is that it prioritizes a potential life over the autonomy and rights of a fully developed human being. no-one- no government, no court, no religious doctrine- should ever have the power to force someone to use their body against their will, even to sustain life. we don’t compel people to donate organs or blood, even if doing so could save lives, because bodily autonomy is a basic human right. when we talk about abortion, we’re not debating the morality of life in the abstract. we’re debating whether a person should be legally req…  Read more

All those girls that got raped had to have a kid and had to go thhrough many struggles so why would you want to get rid of abortion

 @9LZDW6Dfrom Manitoba  disagreed…12mos12MO

I personally think pro-choice is the better option because what if someone got rapped and is now pregnant and doesn't want a baby or to be pregnant?? Also, what if a teen gets pregnant like those are life changing moments that they should have an option to choose what's best for them and their body. I also think men shouldn't have a say because they're not the ones who have to be pregnant if it's Pro-Life that got decided on.

If you where raped and have to keep the kid every time you look at the kid all that trauma comes back.

 @9FTFN6Hfrom Manitoba  disagreed…2yrs2Y

If you don’t want an abortion don’t get one, but don’t prevent others from getting one. You can choose what you want for your own body but not others.

If a woman is dying when pregnant, saving herself is the first priority even if it means killing her baby. Same goes if the baby is dying in the womb, you don’t want it to suffer and killing it would put it out of its suffering (also having and dying baby in a woman wouldn’t be healthy for the woman) .

 @9YNMLHYLiberal from Manitoba  disagreed…5mos5MO

Woman should be able to decide whether or not they want to have a child. Reality is- having a child is a life changing decision and many are in a situation where they cannot realistically take care of one. It’s better for the parent (s) to be well prepared and ready for a child. Woman should have a say in what they do, we should not force anyone to be a parent if they’re not ready yet.

If I dropped a baby and an embryo on the floor, what would you rush to catch first? If you said the baby, then why should an embryo be classified as more important then the baby?
