I think the family and/or loved ones of the victim(s) should have a say in this decision, as well as some close watch and rehabilitation and psychological evaluation.

No, the person committed murder. They fully cant be trusted, but they should eligible for mental testing, if they are found to have a mental illness they should be put in a asylum or a mental hospital.

No, they shouldn't especially if it is an extreme violent offense. They should be in a rehab program. As well, they should be eligible for parole after 30 years

 @8QCGDRDfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but rehabiltation for these prisoners should be incorporated while serving their time

After the amount of years needed to repay the debt to society and the family.

Yes, and we should rework the prison system to encourage more community, rehabilitation, therapy to prevent a similar incident over punishing the perpetrator of a crime.

 @99CW7D9from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Paroles should only be given to prisoners that have confessed and are sorry and not based on years served. So in case of a murder like this at least 25 years and if rehabilitated. Parole board seems much to lenient.

Yes, though it depends on the reason behind the crime. People acting in self-defense or trying to get out of a threatening and abusive relationship should be allowed parole, that is after a psychological evaluation has been preformed.
