This is hard to awnser but I ould say no because we have had seen bad things with police like with George Floyd and its tragic so just keep it at what it is.

Yes but only if there are conditions to prevent its abuse and guarantees that it doesn't violate the Charter of Rights and Freedoms

police don’t do their job, and if anything would result in more police brutality

Police are often times the reason issues are still happening so we should probably find some more efficient police officers before we expand their authority.
