In the first 4 months of 2015 Transport Canada issued 1,600 permits for commercial drones. In contrast, the U.S.’s Federal Aviation Administration issued only 69. Over 110 companies in Canada now provide commercial drone services, which are regularly used by the movie and television industry, oil and gas companies, forestry companies and farmers.

Yes, with regulation of use and training standards equivalent to an aircraft pilot.

Depending on when and where
@8TZTSCH4yrs4Y
If citizens can use them then the government should be able to as well.

Yes, but strict rules to ensure privacy and safety
@8CV6LXJ5yrs5Y
It depends on circumstance to circumstance and the rules and regulations that will be put in place. The main things are that the drones shouldn't destruct public and private property, act as a nuisance and some kind of permit should be issued before one can commercially use a drone.

Ya. I mean this I'm not entirely against with the right parameters set in place. As long as it's 100 % human controlled from the time it takes off til the time it lands. Anything falls it's 5 years in jail. Anybody caught in automatic mode or transportation of illegal substances gets 1 year jail and $50,000 penalty. Set in stone no questions asked.

Not for data collection or spying.

Permission should be asked
