How do you define 'family' and has that definition evolved over time for you?

Family is those you feel closest and safest with, regardless whether they're relatives or friends. People who you spend quality time with and can really trust.

Family isn't necessarily defined by blood but by the bonds that hold the unit together.

Family is whoever you feel most connected to or whoever has helped you grow as a person. You do have to help whoever that is. You have no obligation to support abusive parents because of blood ties or to turn your back on close friends that help you live your life. I have always held this belief.

I think the term family for me has evolved overtime, i used to think the word family was people whom were blood related to me, but as i grow up and continue to grow i realise its the people around me, who support me who i call my family.
