Criminals will not follow the law, and the government, which has recently been tightening its control over guns has just hurt law-abiding citizens. Criminals will get guns anyway, and by banning guns in civilian hands they take away your ability to defend yourself adequately. Also, because we are in Canada it is not easy to get a gun in the first place, which I support, you have to go through two courses on gun/hunting safety, and also have to go through the government numerous times to even be able to buy a gun. This makes it hard for someone with bad intentions to get a gun.
