The reason people have to wait hours is due to the fact that healthcare is publicly funded. When the government steps in to run an industry it typically does worse than if ran by the private sector (look at Venezuela). Changing the healthcare system to be private instead of public will result in the private hospitals striving to make theirs the best one as they are not the only option, when the government runs healthcare, they can slack as they know people do not really have another choice.

We need to reduce the wage of doctors, increase the wage of nurses. In many countries a nurse can do more that what the nurses can do in this country. Patients don’t need to always be examined by a doctor and nurses should be going to university level of education to increase the work load for the higher pay.

The reduction of the wage of doctors can also be used to hire more doctors. We can have increased funding to a limit but that funding needs to be used logically.

Which is why if you want less waiting a private sector should be created and a percentage of this private sector should help the local public sector to help develop the public hospitals

Healthcare should be a top priority. Last time I went to the hospital I had to wait 10 hours to go see a doctor. I was pretty angry that I was sitting for so long while I was sick. We need more doctors because there are only 1 or 2 working every time I go to the hospital.

I totally agree, healthcare might be the most important peice of our economy and it needs the greatest amount of funding that we can possibly give it.

Without healthcare funding public health and productivity decreases. Public health is not only important for quality of life but also the economy.

yes, i agree. Healthcare in canada should be a top priority and should not be sold off to the highest bidder

Having to wait hours to be seen can be fatal in many situations and is harmful. Because of wait times people may avoid getting seen and unknowingly damage their health.

I believe they need to since the people working in heath care, especially in hospitals, are over worked.
