Components and resources required to build electric vehicles may not lower man made pollution that creates climate change. There are a massive amount of buses and trains that will simply not disappear by switching and current recycling and disposal plans will add a series of new issues to the problem. The methods of generating power may not be able to support an all electric power system, creating an electricity shortage. We have seen other countries recently switch back to coal as a quick fix for the energy crisis they are experiencing.
