The transportation sector is the main contributor of greenhouse gases. One initiative towards mitigating these gases is sustainable transportation, with significant reductions in emissions in this sector.

Yes, at least until we find a better source of power since batteries are also harmful to the environment
@B2FXBYQ3mos3MO
I think all vehicles should be at least a hybrid of electric power (like batteries) and the fuel we have always used because the energy makes it better for the eviornment.
I mean a lot of things are going to be electric but I like gas a lot I find gas better but yes but also no in my opinion.
@9XJDXXW6mos6MO
Depends how you charge the batteries, and Need more/better public transportation instead of what fuel it runs off to help the climate.
@9RCRJ4F9mos9MO
This should be a goal to achieve eventually, but practically speaking it won’t happen for a while. Let’s look first at how to get more and better functioning routes to eliminate cars off the road vs a handful of buses.
@9GKJYVC1yr1Y
I think it could be beneficial if we do move over to electric transportation, but currently we have bigger issues. And it’d be better to slowly start implementing them.
@93SCFMN3yrs3Y
No, infrastructure like trolleys would be more cost effective.
@927SG463yrs3Y
@8ZSKBGM3yrs3Y
Should be decides by the market and cost efficient.
@8YFHZQZConservative3yrs3Y
No, They should prioritize having the infrastructure to support the mass change and draw of electricity before conversion
@8XW89PH3yrs3Y
I dont really care that much
@8W88RGN4yrs4Y
Yes this is a great idea although cost is a factor, at this time more important issues are at hand, but certainly a thorough investigation regarding cost would determine this answer
@8W3LTPS4yrs4Y
@8VVLHJZ4yrs4Y
If we can but do not make it rope priority but near the top
@8VQNKLP4yrs4Y
i think that bus's should but the trains would cost more to make electric so the price would be higher. so just bus's because its cheaper and they use more fuel.
@9CCYHQH2yrs2Y
They should start but it doesn't have to be every vehicle.
@9BK6RMW2yrs2Y
buses shouldn't but trains should
@9B7SW332yrs2Y
Yes but, only when financially prudent and environmentally meaningful
@999V8KK2yrs2Y
No, electric isn’t the most efficient energy source for all vehicles or situations. Additional alternative fuel sources such as hydrogen are important considerations.
@998RR682yrs2Y
It is very dependent on the types of changes occur.
@9959RJX2yrs2Y
No, battery powered vehicles are very costly to upkeep and though they are beneficial to the environment would greatly increase government debt in the long run.
@98878LT2yrs2Y
Targets should be set that are reasonable
@9825VCV2yrs2Y
maybe futher down the line but not now.
@97529D22yrs2Y
It should be highly encouraged but not required by law.
@96KB3CZ2yrs2Y
Electric running busses require disel generators which is why bus fair has gone up
@942M3263yrs3Y
No, battery power is more damaging to the enviornment. Use hyrdogen fuel cell power instead.
