Rolling out electric buses is a good idea but any bus is gonna be pretty environmentally friendly as opposed to a car.

There should be a mix of both for now, the process to develop the batteries IS very intensive and not harmless.

we should build more liveable and walkable/cycleable cities so that folks do not need to rely so heavily on cars or transit. While all transit that does exist should run on renewable energy, this energy must be harnessed in a way that honours the sovereignty of Indigenous Nations and does not harm the land.

Trains yes, buses, as much as we can but if it would require moving out of our own way to do it then no

 @95R9JSBNew Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but not at the expense of getting transit services implemented efficiently.

It really depends. Sky trains yes, but sometimes busses are on highways for a while and you run the risk of them losing power

Only if the electric power is actually environmentally friendly as coal burnt electric energy is counter productive.

No, battery powered vehicles are very costly to upkeep and though they are beneficial to the environment would greatly increase government debt in the long run.

Ran on solar power and corn maybe? Let’s not ruin our earth even more, now

 @97TBQ4Mfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

No, Batteries are harder for firefighters to put out and cause a higher death rate

 @8VNQR4Jfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes if they are able to, extra transit is needed in rural areas, especially to help lower income and Indigenous folk so regular vehicles could go there
