the ban on assault style weapons have proved nothing, same with the ban on pistols all it has done is increase of gun smuggling and crimes

 @9GKXD29 from Ontario  agreed…1yr1Y

We Should Unban Assault Style Weapons And Put More Restriction On Who Can Own Said Guns And Have Mental And Criminal Background Checks For All Kinds Of Weapons, Gun Crime Gets Worse With More Gun Bans Not Better, It Also Stops Hunters And Farmers From Hunting And Protecting Their Property

 @9GK9FFWfrom Ontario  agreed…1yr1Y

Yes if it’s gonna easy to get a weapon then everyone buy that and commit crimes or use that for miner problems

 @9FH9H2Hfrom Alberta  disagreed…1yr1Y

Heavier restrictions n gun control would make it harder for law abiding citizens to access firearms, however illegal firearm ownership would become a larger issue.

 @9GLMFFNConservativefrom British Columbia  disagreed…1yr1Y

Almost 85 percent of guns used in gun crimes in Canada were smuggled from the United States via Border. Why should we spend money on freezing guns when really the problem is the security of our borders.

 @9GNDS7PLiberalfrom Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

what will we use if a country invades us and all the army are focused on one area but another is severely exposed.

 @9GJ24X9Conservativefrom Manitoba  disagreed…1yr1Y

lots of people do not use guns for violence and there should not be regulations on hunting guns that hunters use for killing animals and getting food.

 @9GHS5JDfrom Manitoba  disagreed…1yr1Y

No. Guns should be a right to all citizens for our own safety and in case of retaliation. Also hunting and other recreational activities.

 @9FDG47Wfrom Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

I believe you should be able to own a gun. wyd if someone breaks into your house? the threat probably has a deadly weapon, why aren't we allowed to own one if we're responsible enough of owning one?

 @9FC8VQZfrom British Columbia  disagreed…1yr1Y

I strongly disagree with this statement because people should be allowed to own firearms for personal use.

 @9F9MX8Xfrom Alberta  disagreed…1yr1Y

No, when guns are used illegally it is by criminals not law abiding hunters and recreational shooters. If you make it illegal to buy guns the law abiding citizens will be punished and the criminals will illegally obtain guns and continue to commit crimes with them.

 @9GGDHSPfrom New Brunswick  disagreed…1yr1Y

Most crimes are done with illegal guns, so why shouldn't legal gun owners be able to have a good arsenal to defend themselves?

 @9LKJ8K9from Alberta  disagreed…8mos8MO

I agree that automatic guns should be banned in Canada but people still use rifles for sport and self defense which is why they shouldn't be completely banned.

 @9FP879KConservativefrom Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

People who supply themselves from God's creatures deserve the right to hunt with a rifle, the ban on assault style weapons have proved nothing, same with the ban on pistols

 @9FNYC69from Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

I say its unfair because they are not taking account the huntings that use the guns to feed their families

 @9FLSPWZfrom Manitoba  disagreed…1yr1Y

Whats considered public use? We don't have open carry, most firearms are either used at a shooting range, which requires an enrollment into a private club, or for hunting. Are you wanting to ban hunters from using firearms?

 @9FKMNBZfrom Saskatchewan  disagreed…1yr1Y

Most gun crimes are committed using illegal guns. The real issue is the lack of border strength that would limit the smuggling of guns from America.

 @9FH6KQFfrom Alberta  disagreed…1yr1Y

People have used guns to hunt for generations, and it's some family's only tradition. Many memories are made on the field, and it would put small butchers out of business, if you banned all guns, and hunting with it.

 @9FFKJ4Dfrom British Columbia  disagreed…1yr1Y

People think banning the guns will make the crime go away, have they not watched any crime shows? Most to all criminals using guns as their choice of weaponry purchase guns illegally, and that applies to real life. Law-abiding citizens buy guns within the law, and should be allowed to use them for hunting or going to the range. Self-defence with a gun should be allowed also, as most people don't have enough time to contact 911 when there is an attacker.

 @9FBHWQCConservativefrom Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

Guns should be allowed to the public as long as they follow the safety regulations that follow with owning a firearm

 @9F7RJ2Rfrom Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

No because Guns are a tool its only the couple people that miss use the tool that ruins it for everyone.

 @9FGPMTLfrom Saskatchewan  disagreed…1yr1Y

It goes against all our rights for one. You should be able to feed your family with hunting. Be able to defend your our loved ones if need be and not always rely on police. Hence rural dwellers

 @9FFBX4Bfrom Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

Having no guns is the reason that armed robberies are so successful. If people had a gun they could just pull a gun on the robber.

 @9FH74QJfrom Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

Our government is becoming increasing authoritarian; the right to possess firearms is a check on government over reach.

 @9FCFSCGConservativefrom Alberta  disagreed…1yr1Y

We have rights and freedoms and if you don’t like it move to China, what applies to the people in Ontario doesn’t apply to the people in alberta

 @9F9CJB5from Quebec  disagreed…1yr1Y

Concealed carry saves lives statistically and 9:11 is minutes away when second count. self defence is a right.
