Neither fewer nor more, but different allocations, brackets, and regulations. Prevent abuse of the system.

More, but through a re-design of how social services and funds are delivered, i.e., provide increased free high quality social services but less money.

More…but increase for seniors and disabled, as well as supplements a working income (which I believe would encourage feeloaders to get a job…this decreasing the costs of what they would normally get sitting at home).

Keep welfare restrictions same but increase benefits for the elderly and disabled.

The Welfare system needs a complete reform. The current benefits do not provide enough support, nor the right kind of support. Yes, people need money to live, and a basic income would help with that, but there needs to be more support systems in place to assist those who most in need. Increase social services overall, pay for it by abolishing tax loopholes. An economy can only thrive if the people who contribute to it are alive, and well, and able to contribute. And those who unfortunately can't work because of their circumstance need more compassion from their peers, and their government officials.

Welfare recipients, if able, should perform community services and have training for jobs.

It's a provincial issue. On principle, maybe there should be a limitation on the amount of years, perhaps an end to future generations and immigrants using it. Also separating Disability to the Medical System, not conflating it with welfare.

Get rid of the welfare system once a Universal Basic Income program has been established

Restrict the number of consecutive years a person can collect welfare unless they are physically or mentally unable to work.

 @8JDRVDPfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Restrictions are very good. For immigrants they should be coming to a job, if welfare is on the table it should be short limited time span as to not live here for free.

Fewer, current benefits dont provide enough support and we must ensure it goes to those that need it most.
