Have less taxes, keep tax payer money in Canada or become more efficient so that people can afford to buy a home.

There should be CMHC mortgage loans that provide stability to lower incomes, and help them afford a house alongside other Canadian home owners.

I do not believe this because if someone makes 120k and someone else makes 119k should they be the same?

We should encourage Canadians to save money for a house or other future financial goals by opening avenues for them to save for it, like through TFSAs or RRSPs, even through other means like the First Time Home Buyer's Incentive, and potentially removing student debt as ways to help them achieve their goals.

I would say be cautious. We should encourage people the ability to save for a house through different programs, but we shouldn't necessarily be subsidizing individuals alone. We should be making affordable housing more accessible, bringing down prices as much as possible as well as other reforms.

No, if you have the money to do so there should be nothing wrong with owning a number of homes.

No, but they should remove the lending obstacles they've put in the way

Subsidize housing across the country through funding for municipalities and developers, and community organizations, and the CMHC. Also encourage people to help renovate homes into duplex, as well as even change zoning requirements. Have housing for students as well, which should also be affordable. Also, have a TFSA and First Time Homebuyers Incentive.

Maybe actually do something about housing speculation and implement strict rent/vacancy controls. We do not have free markets in this country aside from real estate. No party has implemented policy that has made housing more affordable. Only the hike in interest rates has.

Subsidizing makes it seem as if the government is paying for the house, which it is not. But anything we can do to help people be able to save for a house, as well as make it more affordable is very worthwhile, and we should consider it.
