No they shouldn’t enact stricter policies, however, they should make it easier for skilled workers and screen out anyone with a violent criminal past.

I think we should continue to let immigrants in the country but we need to take into account where we are as Canadians before we can help our neighbors. I am all for helping immigrants but only once all Canadians have what they need. I don't like seeing the homeless sleeping outside all year because our shelters are full but instead our government ignores them and brings in new people to help with our budget. I think that Canada should focus on stabilising foreign countries so that fewer immigrants come in the first place; otherwise, I tend to be more supportive of genuine refugees, as well as immigrants who arrive in better economic times

The immigration policies are sooo WAY OFF! Canada has targets but does not allow proper ressources to absorb this demand. The processes are SLOW, EXPENSIVE and INHUMAINE... If you want to be open and welcoming... we have to tighten the process. I am a married woman who married 2020. I am still waiting for immigration to update my file.. it has not been touched since Nov 2021... we are not Feb 2023... It's insane.

Yes, and we do not have the current infrastructure to adequately house or sustain more immigrants.
