Electoral District (2011):
Although Canada needs more skilled workers, the immigration policy needs to flexible and based on the kind of supports available for immigrants in the country such as jobs, housing, health care and education. All of these supports must be in place before may more people are encouraged to enter, with the exception of refugees and asylum seekers, who we have a humanitarian duty to bring in.

The government needs to enact better and more ethical immigration policies that don’t rely so heavily on the exploitation of temporary foreign workers
@9WJFRFQConservative6mos6MO
yes we have too many immigrants and they should be reviewed to ensure they have become productive citizens
@B34B5JP2mos2MO
Yes. Allow skilled workers to practice their profession without multi-year waits or recertification hoops to jump through in industries that we lack workers (healthcare, etc).
@9VHB42L6mos6MO
No, and provide better services for education so that children can be better supported. Help skilled workers transfer over skills so they can do the job they are trained for.

Immigration needs to be vetted with lie Detector tests. Questions should be about Jews. Do you hate Jews, do you think Israel shouldn’t exist, do you think Jews shouldn’t exist. If the lie detector determines they are antisemitic then no they can’t immigrate here.
That’s the first layer, the second layer is depending on our infrastructure, you can only allow immigration that is in line with our infrastructure, the population shouldn’t be larger than what our infrastructure can handle. Example if we are 5.8 million houses short and can’t find a family doctor then that is a indication of our infrastructure under stress.

Once again, this issue is too nuanced for someone like me with a very baseline understanding of the problems.
@9HHYD751yr1Y
Yes, we are currently not building enough housing to house them nor most people already living in Canada.
@9BVFNH32yrs2Y
no, this country was founded by immigrants so why do we now get to choose who is a proper immigrant
@95SHK28Conservative3yrs3Y
I think it should be best to let more skilled workers in but also check for criminal backgrounds
@93KKGC43yrs3Y
Immigrants should be able to work in the field they have been trained in. I agree with strict screening.
@8YXSH9P3yrs3Y
Yes, stricter screening criminal backgrounds, make the process easier for skilled workers, professionals, and continue to monitor and review recent immigrants within the first 2 years to ensure they are productive citizens. If this is not the case, deporting must be an option
@8VPWW9P4yrs4Y
It should become more efficient in administering the one that is in place
@8VM72DHConservative4yrs4Y
As long as they aren't refugees. If they are fleeing war, crime, or just an unsafe environement. If they are unsafe in other cou ntries, let them in.
@8VGR93V4yrs4Y
There should be proper screening for new immigrants, but not having enough info on the current policies I cannot say for certain whether they need to be stricter or not
@8SYMJHT4yrs4Y
No, but review recent 8mm8grants to ensurebthe6buqvevbevome productive citizens after 2 years.
@9BYC2XQ2yrs2Y
We should encourage immigration but develop better systems for background checks, as too many skilled workers that were doctors and professors in their home country lose that status when they immigrate.
@9B5QF6C2yrs2Y
Depends if they have a crime history from other Countries, however if they are innocent and have no record of a crime history. They should be alright.
@99WWPPS2yrs2Y
No, but disallow people who have committed a lot of crimes and are unproductive people and are incapable of being productive citizens( albeit allow people with disabilities)
yes but we need a better way to do it such as going through an extended process
@983LQNZ2yrs2Y
No but should screen immigrants and ensure they are still productive citizens
@97PDJB82yrs2Y
No, make the process easier for skilled workers.
@95ZXJVJ3yrs3Y
No but we should target immigration from similar and or allied countries.
@8VQ53PW4yrs4Y
Avoid having them all move to the already densely populated areas
