No, they are taking guns away from the wrong people. The people that create harm with gun use illegal imported guns anyway.

Canada should unban all weapons, you should only need an ID to purchase firearm, and we should allow self defence both inside and outside the home.

No for criminals or the mentally ill, depending on the evaluation of said individual. There should be a lower threshold as to what is considered an assault weapon, especially in circumstances of self defense from criminals with illegally owned firearms and the evidence supporting a self defense case. I believe it is better to have less harmful firearm in extreme cases that allow self defense to save one's life.

Ban all guns from public use but only by closing the gun show loophole while people require strict background checks, psychological testing, training and should pass a nationwide stand your ground law for people at the shooting range and increase penalties for gun related crimes

no. Besides criminals will still find a way to get guns. Why should it be so hard for a law abiding citizen
