If public transportation were efficient and user friendly it would encourage people to leave vehicles at home or not feel the need to purchase a car.

No and we should privatize more public transportation. Regulate it however to ensure the private companies are making it more environmentally friendly than that of the current infrastructure. This is something the government could help with. It’s government working with private companies that will solve our financial problems and create jobs. As long as the subsidies are manageable or interest free loans to help get projects up and going. But are paid back over a certain amortization period that can still keep the private company profitable so It can continue creating jobs while providing the services.

Yes, especially for the school buses, as currently, they have hardly changed for decades and I think they should be more comfortable. (Rural)
