If they are a citizen, let them serve time like any other citizen but if they are on permanent residence, deport them after time served.

They should be given a second chance and if there is they commit a serious crime again then they should be deported as long as its safe for them to return.

No, unless its murder or rape etc. Immigrants made it to Canada they deserve a chance like everyone else.
