It depends on how long they have been living in Canada for, have they assimilated well into the community here, and are the a legal or illegal immigrant.
Any immigrant who came here legally, has been here for several years, has assimilated into the community here, and have no more significant ties to their home country, should not be deported.
@B2VDNWTNew Democratic2mos2MO
depends based on their immigration status at the time of their offence. If they're permanent residents or citizens, they should not be deported.
@9F7WWLJ2yrs2Y
Only if they have been in Canada for less than a year
@8ZMJWMP3yrs3Y
No, they should be subject to the same rights as everyone else. The country in which they were born may not be safe AND they may have been only born there but raised here and don't even know the language so that isn't fair.
@8XZMDGY3yrs3Y
No, unless they have not recieved full citizenship or have entered the country illegally and it is safe for them to return to thier home country.
@8X2H69T3yrs3Y
Depends on the crime. Speeding? Probably not. Murder? Yeah get rid of them
@8VR8GFDConservative4yrs4Y
Depends on the crime, but yes they should serve their sentence first.
@8VGQYP84yrs4Y
Depends on the serious crime committed
@8VG6MFS4yrs4Y
It depends on their citizenship status. Permanent residents are more than okay to go to canadian jail. While immigrant from work/student programs and refugees might be deported.
@8VF6WPM4yrs4Y
Yes, but only if they've committed previous offences or are considered a legitimate threat to the well being of their surrounding society.
@8V248LZ4yrs4Y
Depends on how long they have been within the country.
@8TXG2244yrs4Y
Depends not always and if they are given second chance then must prove themselves.
@8TB3RDW4yrs4Y
No they should serve a prison sentence
@8T8KRQF4yrs4Y
No. We have taken them on as a Canadian citizen therefore they should be treated as such. Rehabilitation.
@8RJQ3LZ4yrs4Y
Immigrants guilty of treason or acts of terrorism should be deported
Yes, only if it is a felony or violent crime committed and if the country is safe for them to return to.
@8PJH3JN4yrs4Y
Depends on the severity of the crime if it’s murder yes if it’s arson maybe if it’s involuntary manslaughter then no
@8N6JC2Z4yrs4Y
