What is it now? I believe that the standards for education should be at a federal level. But that the actual execution and teaching should be at the provincial level.

The optimal approach for overseeing postsecondary education should balance provincial autonomy with federal involvement to ensure flexibility, responsiveness to local needs, consistency, and equity across the country.

The feds should kick in but the home province of wherever the post secondary school is located should too.

Do it like Europe (austria)

If you're more skilled toward trades by gr 10 then go in to trades.

If you're an academic go on with schooling.

These provincial tests/scores jeopardize individuals from getting in to schools to play sports etc.

Might have 3 degrees.. but a trades person has multiple customers a day. Pick wisely

Legislature should be passed to limit needless credentialism in job posting. Government should not fund students who coast by and use that funding to party. ANY loans or grants used for non essential purposes should disqualify the student and convert their loan to be interest bearing.

A bit of provincial and federal, like how they supply students loans but instead of a loan you get the education.

Provincial, as long as an option remains to set up independent schools should people feel that the government isn't handling education satisfactorily. These independent schools would also have to be subject to review from an unbiased third-party (neither government nor affiliated with the independent school) in regards to academic rigor and soundness, not content.

 @8JYMXXDfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8JPWT5Bfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Teachers should be the ones that do the curriculum for secondary schools

 @8JHT377from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Both. Sometimes provinces have no idea how to design curriculums and each school zone does different teachings. Currently the school system is not great

 @8HW5MYWPeople’sfrom British Columbia  answered…5yrs5Y

I think a non biased education is important and having government restrictions is good but little to no government intervention otherwise is good

 @8HQKBJTfrom British Columbia  answered…5yrs5Y

Post secondary schooling should be covered and funded in another area to cover the costs. Unless student does not graduate, they then should be required to pay for the schooling.

 @8HQBRNLfrom British Columbia  answered…5yrs5Y

Post secondary education is so incredibly expensive, it is in danger of becoming a right of only the wealthy. There needs to be better funding available to make it more accessible to all students.

 @8H4ZTKFfrom British Columbia  answered…5yrs5Y
