The ultra wealthy should be taxed more. What is often considered wealthy is now just middle class. 200k salary isn't wealthy anymore.

 @B49TBJYfrom British Columbia  answered…4wks4W

Begin to increase taxation on large multinational corporations, and decrease it depending on their country of location and their proportionate investment into the Canadian economy.

 @B49S5T9Conservativefrom British Columbia  answered…4wks4W

I think removing tax loopholes would be a better route, that being said, I think taxations in Canada is too high and we should cut it significantly across all income brackets and lower bureaucratic spending

 @B45X6NHfrom British Columbia  answered…1mo1MO

So much cash and app-based income not being reported. To increase taxes too much pushes innovation out of Canada.

 @B43S4G8from British Columbia  answered…1mo1MO

Close loopholes used by the rich to skirt income taxes, lower taxes on lower and middle class wages, and increase taxes on highly profitable corporations and individuals.

 @B3KVQRKfrom British Columbia  answered…2mos2MO

Taxing the rich only works if the US does it too. While I'm in agreement we need to tax the Rich, Canada can't take the lead and do it while US provides all tax cuts. That leads to all businesses; Tech, Film and etc to leave Canada, causing Canada to lose jobs.

 @B2QW7PJfrom British Columbia  answered…3mos3MO

Absolutely not, I don't think that it makes any sense to do this, the rich worked for it, I don't want to give up anything because of some stupid couple that doesn't know what they're doing and having a child when they don't have the money to support it. It's not my fault that somebody else is poor.

 @B2QH67Yfrom British Columbia  answered…3mos3MO

Lower income tax in general and the Gov. should buy businesses and make money in other ways. Our money is not used efficiently.

 @B2H6LTYNew Democraticfrom British Columbia  answered…3mos3MO

I don't think so because people earn that money by hardwork so I think tax is same for all the peoples.

 @9WTX47Xfrom British Columbia  answered…6mos6MO

Yes, but lower the income tax rate for middle and working class citizens and remove all existing tax loopholes for large corporations

 @9WR8G39from British Columbia  answered…6mos6MO

Tax the 130k plus people more, not single parents, and decrease taxes for the less income people. And increase the taxes for corps, and the top most wealthy, there shouldnt be billioners.

 @9WBL9TKfrom British Columbia  answered…6mos6MO

No but make it mandatory that a percentage of profits are reinvested into business and not realized by owners

 @9W6LHHBfrom British Columbia  answered…6mos6MO

Lower taxes for the poor increase taxes for the rich and remove all existing tax loopholes and be able to choose to pay specific taxes on which do you actually use

 @9W4LHPNfrom British Columbia  answered…6mos6MO

Raise taxes on the wealthy, remove all corporate tax loopholes, and lower income tax for middle class.

 @9VW96WQGreenfrom British Columbia  answered…6mos6MO

Lower income tax IF it's possible to remove all existing loophalls for large corporations. If not, then increase tax for anyone earning upwards of $8million per year (in money or stocks or other capital forms)

 @9VW3LQLfrom British Columbia  answered…7mos7MO

No but make sure the rich aren’t using creative accounting practices to avoid paying their fair share.

 @B4TMX4Yfrom British Columbia  answered…4 days4D

I think everyone should pay a percentage of their income. If you make $100 you have to pay 10%. If you make $200 you pay 10%.

 @B4SVCXLfrom British Columbia  answered…6 days6D

What is the definition of "rich"? Anyone who makes more than $1 Million should be taxed at a higher rate

 @B4SRGYMfrom British Columbia  answered…6 days6D

Yes it should go back to the way it was before trickle down economics ruined the middle class. High taxes on the rich, none on people who earn less than 50k a year

 @B4NX84Lfrom British Columbia  answered…2wks2W

Lower income tax on the middle and lower class and raise income tax on people who make more than a million. abolish all tax loopholes for the rich and corporations. Stop taxing our paycheques. We already pay taxes on all goods, then we have to pay taxes form our paycheques, it’s robbery

 @B2VNVNWfrom British Columbia  answered…3mos3MO

Tax extremely wealthy individuals (over a million a year) more and tax everyone else less. And absolutely abolish corporate welfare, tax loopholes for large corporations and ensure there are no ways to hide money. Really go after anyone rish hiding money. Tax all the big industries, give them breaks when they raise wages for their workers, contribute aggressively to pensions and take on the responsibility of the health and welfare of workers and their families. The corporations who are the most progressive at putting their workers first are the ones who get the highest tax breaks. Tax incentives also for Canadian owned and run corporations over foreign corporations.

 @B292M3Pfrom British Columbia  answered…4mos4MO

Remove all loopholes for the rich and corporations. Increase the corporate tax rate, create more tax brackets for higher earners, and nobody who makes less then $30k pays income tax

 @9TXBP2YIndependentfrom British Columbia  answered…7mos7MO

Lower taxes on poor, spend more to recover from tax evaders, remove loopholes for large corporations.

 @9TX8DMHfrom British Columbia  answered…7mos7MO

Create a new, more fair, tax system, that is much lower in taxes then the current one. Do not tax wealthy people too much or nobody will want to take risks and invest in things.

 @9TJJT4Xfrom British Columbia  answered…7mos7MO

that would be unfair, so I would say no. because it should be their choose too and they most likely did something to earn that money. if they feel the need to give to the poor or donate that will be on their own accord.

 @9NMWPJKfrom British Columbia  answered…11mos11MO

If you tax the people who own everything more no doubt they will find a way to pass it down the chain to the consumers.

 @9LNZCPWfrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

Abolish the income tax for personal income, no change for the sales tax, and keep taxes for the big corporations.

 @9LMC5GGfrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

It depends if the person made they way up no however if the person was born into old money and nepotism yes.

 @9LJGNWTPeople’s from British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

Abolish the income tax and start imposing tariffs. Cut federal and provincial government to 10% of its size. Abolish the federal and provincial MP and MLA and Senate pensions immediately.

 @9KMCFG7from British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

Taxes should be augmented only if the government is willing to provide more services to the people. Otherwise absolutely not.

 @9K3Q4DYfrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

I feel that the rich should be taxed for things that would support the future in our world. Such as homeless shelters, renewable energy, and money towards researching climate change. As well as donating money so 3rd world countries can have real meals.

 @9JYPDGGfrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

No, but they should make the tax rate a percentage of one's pay so that people working as surgeons don't lose less money than the janitors to the government

 @9JLF2GLfrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

this is a misleading question the normal have income tax but most "rich" people gain there wealth over stocks witch are taxed less so if we rise tax on a higher income it doesn't affect the rich. so equal out the tax between people who make money off stock with people who make money of normal income.

 @9GNXXXTfrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

There are agreements, as well as other things we have signed which might get in the way of this, but we should have a progressive tax system depending on different factors as to how people pay different amounts.

 @9GC2S2Pfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

lower tax on the middle class and keep the rest the same there is no longer a middle class in Canada

 @9G8G56QConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

The tax brackets need to be adjusted to reflect current economic times and inflation rates, high income earners should be taxed accordingly however middle class earners are taxed beyond their means in most Cases.

 @9FRRVNFfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but create more tax brackets so low-end high-earners aren't taxed as heavily as high-end high-earners.

 @9FQY4MYfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

Tax the more wealthy as they find loopholes to pay less taxes. And find a way to remove all ways for the rich and large corporations to use loopholes.

 @9FM9QN9from British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9FGS388from British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

Only people making over 1 million should be taxed at over 50%. Taxes should be reduced for all other incomes

 @9FFFKG4from British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

lower tax for lower income families, and higher incomes should pay higher taxes

 @9VDRGX4from British Columbia  answered…7mos7MO

the rich should be treated the same even if they have money because the poor and rich both work to earn money not just the poor.

 @9S8HD27from British Columbia  answered…8mos8MO

Yes for incomes (even combined) over $500,000, raise the minimum income level up to reduce burden on low income families.

 @9RKKT88from British Columbia  answered…9mos9MO

Canada should keep capital gains and corporate tax rates where they are now, as they have already been raised.

 @943PG5Yfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only for individuals making +500k a year as anything less is no longer rich due to the cost of living

 @8S49CKXLiberalfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

yes, however don't make immediate plans relying on taxing the rich as they may leave the country interfering with plans they made relying off tax money from the rich

 @9CNLPYNfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

 @99S7KGDfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

 @924HKTHfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

yes, but depending on how they earned their money and how much of it in question.

 @923VQCDfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

yes, but not crazy for example celebirtys i would support, and give money to benifit the community.. there should be testing and cxerting limits of who is and isnt gettring taxed

 @8Z5KNTPfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

No they shouldn't. It's going to create problems with equality and everything. We should lower taxes all together, for everyone.

A bit but if people work hard for their money it shouldn’t just be taken away from them

 @8WWDK6Ffrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

We need to minimize taxes on the poor/middle class, but have a higher tax rate on the people making millions and millions. Not by much, however, as then they'll just put their business in the Caymans and pay no federal tax.

 @8WM3PBSfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

lower taxes on people that get paid less than 45 k a year. WHY tell me why do you need to raise taxes on rich people just because they succeded in life does'nt mean they need to pay more thats stupid!

 @8WGNW97from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Keep taxes affordable like; the poor should get low taxes and the rich should get a bit higher but still affordable.

 @8VVTQCPfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Tax the ultra rich not the ones that are earning a higher income (2000/year).

 @8VVQB34from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

If rich means huge corporate companies then yes. Not if rich are doctor brackets etc

 @8VVFP8Nfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Keep tax rates the way they are, but remove all existing tax loopholes for corporations and rich individuals.

 @8VTZBN2from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VT8Z69from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, TAX the rich, abolish taxes for lower income brackets; Otherwise it is impossible to get out of poverty.

 @8VRMLW3from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

No. They work hard like everyone else. It’s not fair to make the rich fund those who are taking advantage of the system. For example, so many people scammed the system and collected CERB. Why should the people who didn’t collect get put on the hook for it?

 @8VLP2GQfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, taxing someone should be based on income and their outflow of cash.

 @8VLKD3Zfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Taxation is theft, If we have taxes it should ONLY be for the most important of things to the canadian people, and We the People shpuld have a major say into where our Tax ends up as indavidual choice.

 @8VKKSCLNew Democraticfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

I think it depends on the location, property owned, and the community area in which the person lives. I don’t think the taxes should be raised on all rich people, as it should depend on current bills and finances, and if it is affordable for the Canadian government and the family/person(s) who owns it.

 @8VGJXNGfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Lower the income tax rate and remove all existing tax loopholes while lowering the taxes for the poor

  @8TXVXMLfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y
