If the privatization will help then increase it but after spending time in the states its also not the answer

 @9W3Z3SWLiberalfrom Kentucky  answered…6mos6MO

more private services created less equality, worsened universal health care and showed no long term improvement in health outcome

 @9VFRFDNLiberalfrom Nova Scotia  answered…6mos6MO

Both should be available but there should be more competition with private healthcare so prices go down.

 @9TXRJM5Liberalfrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

I don't really care about the privacy state of the healthcare system, as long as everyone gets treatment and there us no gatekeeping or anything preventing certain medicines from being accessed.

 @9F5WNZFLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

More privatization, but not at the expense of the public healthcare system, which should receive greater funding.

 @9RBTF6JLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

More spending if effective. Some privatization similar to the Netherlands or Japan. Not an American model. Just make it work without being unaffordable.

 @9QVJ92XLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

more however that is for severe and complicated cases where it allows a patient who doesn't get attention fast enough to be treated however, the price should not be ridiculously high and should be out to the common public as well. If we can fix the issue of our healthcare system being short staffed and we have more resources, I dont think there is any need more private healthcare. There should be a system in place where the government can compensate specific people so the people who have a hard time paying for it can pay for it.

 @9HQHPGNLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I think that there should be both options. There was some circumstances that makes the patient more comfortable.

Privitization of healthcare could potentially cut down on wait times for healthcare but it should remain affordable. Privitazation of healthcare should not be able to get such egregious prices as the United States where a single ambulance ride could finacially cripple a family.

Dual system, private for those that want to pay and public for those that cannot

 @9F8V484Liberalfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

More privatization for those willing to indulge, while still maintaining and supporting the public system

 @8KDXY6LLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @99WWQD2Liberalfrom Saskatchewan  answered…2yrs2Y

More, but there should still be free healthcare services, but for those who are in a hurry there can be privatized healtchare services.

 @98W7CBBLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Government should privatize the healthcare but as well as the healthcare should be equitable for everyone. Money should not be the reason behind someone's death.

 @96KV66YLiberalfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

There should be more privatization and high fee for service to subsidize government funding

There should be a privitization of certain ascpects of the healthcare system, along with increased funding, support, and oversight from the government.

Allow citizens to pay if they want faster services but not require them to (slower services)

 @8W894YPLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

I would like to keep the hospitals the way they are and add private hospitals. I think it would be nice if you have benefits to get quicker and better service at a private hospital; however, it's important that we don't decline in public service as it is a very special and important component to canadians to have free health care. All in all more options wont hurt as long as the public sector does not decline.

Health care should be a priority for all. Everyone should have equal opportunity to heal.

 @8VJ42J6Liberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Use private sector where it makes sense to better deliver gov funded services

More of both. You should be able to have the choice, but free healthcare should always be readily available to those who cannot afford private. People who have excess money should be able to pay for quicker and additional services.

 @8TJ8MC8Liberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

In some cases it is important. We should not always hand healthcare over to private companies though

 @8T8YDWXLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

I believe some level of status quo should be continued. There are certain benefits to some level of privatization but it should remain limited.

 @8T42TNQLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Privatized healthcare should be an available option, but government-funded healthcare should remain as the primary provider.

 @8RQTCTZLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

A 2 tiered system. Have some private hospitals, but the revenue created could be put into the public system. It can pay doctors a percentage more wages but not highly inflated, that way private hospitals can’t poach all the public ones away. I think people who know the system abuse it. The hospital is Healthcare, not life care. By life care I mean, seniors should not be dumped by their families and refuse to pick them up. Hospitals are becoming more like “long-term cares.” The problem is they are old, not sick. People need to save for their retirement. Everyone is born, ever…  Read more

I think people who know the system abuse it. The hospital is Healthcare, not life care. By life care I mean, seniors should not be dumped by their families and refuse to pick them up. Hospitals are becoming more like “long-term cares.” The problem is they are old, not sick. People need to save for their retirement. Everyone is born, everyone dies. The cycle of life. I think there needs to be some help for seniors. But I think to many people avoided saving for life after Retirmemt. Retirmemt age should not be a number capped at 65, if someone wants to work to 75 and is healthy, we should let them. There should be protections, so families can’t steal seniors money. The money they have should be allocated for their Retirmemt, so they can live comfortably with what they have saved.

Continue with public health care, however, have more opportunities for private health care.

 @8CR3JMDLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…5yrs5Y

have private hospitals as an option for people who can pay but also have governmentally funded free healthcare for evryone

 @9BTKHMTLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

There should be a balance of private funded, and government funded hospital, and helath care system.

 @99MXSWZLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Hard question to answer. You could argue that since healthcare is so easily accessible in Canada, it is great because everyone with insurance has easy access, but then, since it is so easily accessible, it makes it difficult to prioritize needs for those in bad condition and whatnot. I'd say keep it as it is, but definitely increase government funding.

 @8TTWYPNLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @92T6XMCLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Privatization can equal specialization and more opportunities for providers and patients but I think service fees should be capped and paid for from health care transfers.

 @8ZX5HSVLiberalfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

There should be a balanced support of the healthcare system via privatization and government funding
