Should postsecondary education be a provincial or federal responsibility?

Provincial for Canadians and Federal for foreign students. And the federal government needs to crack down on the foreign students disappearing from campuses to hide and stay in our country illegally.

It should be a mix of both really I think all schooling should be fre to those who are serious about it

depends on the credentials. what pays better, a consultancy in a mid level bureaucracy in Ottawa or some entry level paying oil rig job in Alberta

Both and they should collaborate to ensure that the education meets the future labor market predicted. Students should be discouraged from acquiring student debt to learn something they cannot find employment in.

Education should be properly managed more as a way to create career assets. To go into postsecondary schooling, knowing the allotted debts one would have has discouraged many from being educated. Certain careers, such as; Doctors, Engineers, etc. should not have an insane debt, but should provide background checks and appropriate gradings to accept people to take the specific courses.

This way, I feel we'd have more people inclined to become Doctors and Engineers without a shortage. Passion is without debt

I would say federal only because I'm in Alberta and the UCP is are kleptocrats, but under normal circumstances I'd say provincial.
