Yes, but it should not be taxed or regulated in any way. By legalizing marijuana, previously classified as an illegal substance, the government (as with other organized crime) has created a new stream of stolen revenue to finance itself, that up until five minutes ago, would have been considered the proceeds of crime, possibly even racketeering. Also, through legalization, the government was able to rally a contingent of the population who are grateful to no longer "criminals" in the eyes of the law, which had the unfortunate effect of manipulating public sentiment in favour of the government. It's a true match made in hell.

 @B3YW962from Alberta  answered…4wks4W

No. Decriminalization, not legalization. The government has no business getting involved in marijuana.

 @9LD8F4Qfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

No, decriminalize it instead. Legalization is the government putting its hand into something that’s none of its business.

 @9JM5826from Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, for medical use and also so that people will have a safe drug to use without any other diseases or corruptions inside them.

 @9JBTHNJfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but reduce taxes and change certain laws around it, to maintain safety while also out-competing the black market.

 @9G5RCDKfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, as long as it’s reasonable or they have a reason like it helps them sleep, their mental well-being, or physical well-being.

 @9F5KMPVfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

It's none of my business what plant others smoke. If they wanna grow it and sell it they can. It's not harming anyone.

 @9DQSF44from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and legalize it , tax and regulate while also releasing anyone with personal possession charges.

 @9VW59ZNfrom Alberta  answered…6mos6MO

If people want to use marijuana, they should only be allowed to do so in their home, not in public or anywhere outside. There also needs to be tougher enforcement on driving while under the influence

 @9T9L5MRIndependentfrom Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

I dont really care if it is legal or not as its good for medical use and also helps people cope and calm down.

 @9T59TXSfrom Alberta  answered…7mos7MO

Yes but the government should have a mandatory rehab for people who are starting to get addicted to it.

 @9Q6NY5Xfrom Alberta  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, but only for medical purposes. Otherwise increase the penalties for non-violent drug offenders.

 @8VNYMNMfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

if they made it a good age like 25 then yes its fine. but giving it to 18 year olds is not fine and can still damage the brain

 @8VK37GCfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VG6MFSfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Legalization of Marijuana is fine only in certified stores, and as long as they follow all the rules (must ask for an ID, must have a certain amount of a MAX amount can be sold)

 @8VF6XBZfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VF2NP3from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, because it causes addiction for younger individuals who now have easier access

 @8VDZTBDfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

If people want to smoke, let them you can't stop them, just smoke away from kids and should only be able to smoke if you have reached adult hood

 @8VDCYM4from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VCSST2New Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

its not hurting anyone under the age of 21 we should higher the legal age of smoking it since it stops are brain development and its good for medical use

 @8V55J2Vfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, regulate it, tax it and above all ban flavoring the stupid stuff with flavors enticing youth to try it even more.

 @Ellewahlfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only for medicinal use, and more accurate education needs to be provided to minors about the hazards of using before full brain development.

 @8TYNLGTfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Only if employers are given the liberty to terminate users because of risks to safety and poor performance as a result of demotivation.

 @8TWYSWWfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but ensure protections for the rights of non-users (allow it but restrict the usage locations and such so that the rights of non users are not infringed by people using near them.

 @8TVPY84from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

i don't really care one way or the other...but i do care about legalizing or the giving away of hard core drugs...i son't want my tax dollars contributing to someones addiction

 @8QTX67Rfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Legalizing it has made it so people do not do it illegally. People will do it whether it is legal or not. But making it legal makes it more accessible.

 @8QTRWL8from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes & No but It's people's choice if they want to put substances in their body

 @8QTFFYFfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only for medical use with strict guidelines in place for prescriptions. That being said, it is concerning at how much easier it is for youth to (illegally) access it. Just within my own community there is suddenly an abundance of minors doing drugs because they are easier to access. I go to school with a bunch who (even though they say they don't, they do in fact) have drug addictions. And guess what they all started with? Vaping and marijuana.

 @8QD4K4Kfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, as long as there are strict public guidelines as to where this substance can be used, as public spaces should be kept clear of such things to protect the rights of all users of public spaces. Legalizing marijuana does not give users the right to use it wherever they want, as many non-users do not want to be in the presence of such substances.

 @8QCWKL6from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, decriminalize it instead. Keep the government’s hands off my bong.

 @8F4V62Tfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes but the government should regulate to ensure THC is below certain levels, edibles are not legal, and the age should be 21. Use science as a guide for THC affects developing brains.

 @8CQK8VXfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

people take advantage over the legalization of it. and can turn people into a moron. That is all I have to say...

I have been on a waitlist for total knee replacement services for three years now. Prior to being on the waitlist I was managing my pain with SNAIDs, which caused severe side effects that significantly impacted my health in a negative way. I have been able to manage my pain and improve my mobility, flexibility, and stability for three years on medicinal marijuana. I think there should be more health care research on the use of and benefits of medicinal marijuana, prescriptions should be funded and not taxed. I would be in a wheel chare today without it, and with wait lists for surgery as long as they are, it has literally been a lifesaver for me.

 @8J6H78Sfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but not candy-like edibles and TCH should be capped and age upped to 21

 @97V8NXSfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

 @96RR933from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

yes, but you have to have 3 ways of identification that shows you're over 18

 @96KJVCDfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

yes, and immediately release anyone serving time for marijuana drug use.

 @96GCKP9from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

yes because if it is being sold illegally they can put anything inside and kill the person who bought it

I do and I don't. But I do more than don't since my brother's uses it to release his stress

 @937956Hfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

 @Danrumartinfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but marijuana is a harmful substance which promotes laziness and damages the brain. The higher THC levels found in legal marijuana is only increasing this potential risk, while making the public treat the drug in a more lax manner.
