1 out of every 6 American women has been the victim of an attempted or completed rape in her lifetime. Do you think that if these women got pregnant, they should have to birth and raise that child.
@9LTPJYJ12mos12MO
Yes I do, because the baby is a baby, no matter where he or she came from.
If a child were raped, and became pregnant, and could die during birth, it that fair for this girls unfair life to have to go through that
Unsafe abortions cause 23,000 deaths and 7 million health issues yearly. In countries where abortion is legal, maternal death rates are much lower. Access to abortion is essential for health and safety.
if I child was sexually assaulted, and was later found pregnant, would you let this child have a baby in raise it, instead of having an education, and a life of her own?
You do not have to decide the same thing as another person like aborting a baby, but you should let the person choose whatever they feel is right for themselves.
If a little girl is raped and is unable to carry a baby full term without putting her life a risk can get an abortion yet a teenager has an unwanted pregnancy they aren't allowed to get one.
If you were a woman, you would be terrified to go through child birth too and probably wouldn't want to raise a child especially if it was an accident.
On abortion, pro-life should always be the stance as a child is a god-chosen, god-given responisbilty, and if you cant take care of a child, than being irresponsible by risking a chance to be pregnant is just stupid.
Now that I am pregnant, I believe nobody should ever be forced to go through this. It is the most uncomfortable and scariest situation ever
context, data, and statistics have zero influence on my body and what I do with it. I do not need someone to agree with my stance. opinion has zero stance on a woman's physical well-being.
78000 women die each year from unsafe abortions, that could have been a future president or prime minister, a cancer researcher, a surgeon, a teacher, a doctor, a mother. Those women had family's and homes to go to at night and legalizing abortion could have prevented their deaths.
No matter what anyone says, or what laws are put in place, there are going to be unintended pregnancies where the child could live a very poor quality of life. A woman must be able to decide what happens to her own body, and not the government.
consciousness and pain are not seen in children's until later in the birth cycle plus we have rights to bodily autonomy which is taken away with forced birth
Pregnant people need abortions because they wouldn't be able to support a baby, a baby wouldn't work with their lifestyle and people shouldn't have babies that they don't want.
"The fetus gets a heartbeat at the end of the 4th week or gestation"-National Library of Health.
Before then the fetus is not alive and therefore can not feel pain.
I think that it should be up to the woman to decide the fate of the baby. It may be an accidental unwanted baby, and she could have been assaulted into pregnancy.
They did not willingly put themselves within that situation in the case of rape. Even if they did when it comes to incest there is major health risks that occur within babies born from incest, it simply is not worth the risk.
pro choice because a women has every right to choose what she does with her body. young girls who aren't ready for child birth and not ready to raise a child are not ready for a kid should have the right to choose what she does with it.
Abortion should only be allowed if there is danger to the mother or child, the mother is a victim of rape or incest, or if they are not old enough to marry.
"On average, there are 463,634 victims (age 12 or older) of rape and sexual assault each year in the United States"
this can be a huge problem for these women and they should have the right to choose what to do.
According to the World Health Organisation, 45% of all abortions globally are unsafe in countries where abortion is restricted or illegal. Unsafe alternate methods to abort a fetus are a leading cause of maternal death. In contrast, countries with legal and accessible abortion have much lower rates of maternal death. For example, In Romania during the 1960s-80s, abortion was heavily restricted (Decree 770), which spiked the maternal mortality rates. When access was returned under a new government, those rates dropped dramatically.
