There are many reasons why a women would want to get an abortion. The baby’s life may be harming her own life, she is unable to support a baby at the moment, or she may have gotten pregnant from a traumatic situation. For any reason a women should have the option to do what she wants with her body, whether its an abortion, adoption or having the baby that is completely the women's choice. No one should be able to tell anyone what they can and cannot do with their own body.

The government has no place in mandating a woman's control over her own body, it is out of their jurisdiction.

Pro-choice does not mean pro-abortion. Pro-choice is allowing the woman to choose what to do if she is pregnant. There are multiple factors why a woman might not be ready or able to have a baby. These can include; being very young, complications with the fetus, being raped, incest, etc. No woman should be forced to do something with her body, it should be up to her and her only.

The "My body my choice" argument is a very strong one. No one should be able to control what someone else chooses to do with their body.

Women should be allowed to choose what they do with their bodies, no body should be making the decision for them.

Forcing women to have a baby when they are either too young or they could die is awful. People have the right to health care and to make decisions about their own bodies.

The woman has to carry the baby, and the effects of pregnancy are long lasting. Especially in cases when the baby is conceived without consent, abortion should be a ready option.

There is a 3 month old baby and 3 growing fetuses and small jars in a burning house. You can either choose to save the baby or the fetuses, which do you choose to save?

There is no child that is being killed, it is simply a fertilized egg that has the potential to turn into a child. As well, if the child cannot be cared for, it will end up in fostering. If the concerns are about childrens lives, start by helping the millions of kids in the foster system. As well, men who have a significant stance just want more control over women and their bodies. Women should not be forced to have children.

a woman should have every right to do as they wish with their own body and should not be held the right to a safe and legal abortion. if they do not have a safe option then they will find a way to access it illegally and in a way that may harm them, so instead when legalizing the procedure it will be safer and easier for women to make the choice they wanted to in the first place.

yes, pro-lifers are trying to do the right thing for the baby but what about the mother and her choices? if the mother was raped and she got pregnant would she have to keep the baby? No, she should not have to keep a baby of on of the worst moments of her life, and that baby may remind her of that. That situation is not good for the baby or the mother.

Most people use religion as their reason for being pro-life. Religion should not be a determining factor in a legal debate like this. A fetus is not yet a human. Women and other people with uteruses are already people with lives who deserve to have a choice on their own bodies.

Nobody has the right to tell women what to do with their bodies. Giving birth is a medical procedure; do we force medical procedures on anyone else? If a woman does not want to spend the next 9 months pregnant, she should not have to. A mother should want her child. Our foster care programs suck. Children are expensive, and many people cannot afford to raise a child. Many women are not mentally equipped to take care of a child. If a woman is raped she should not have to go through the next 9 months with a constant reminder of that night in her belly. That there are already so many children in orphanages that do not have a home , so forcing someone to go through with a pregnancy because “they can always just give it up for adoption” is not a valid enough answer. More children do not need to be with out a family.

People should have the autonomy to decide what happens to their own body. Because a fetus relies on the woman it is inside to survive, the woman should not be obligated to carry it to term. The fetus does not get a say, because it is incapable of having an opinion, and it's not a mutually reliant situation.

Although abortion may not always align with someone's morals, and may not always be a good choice, it should not be restricted based on a select group of people's idea of what is right and wrong. Abortion can be life-saving, and there are various circumstances when it could be considered the right thing to do. Additionally, restricting it will only make abortions unsafer, as people find illegal alternatives that aren't regulated as heavily as legitimate abortion clinics are.

Removing the right of the woman to choose what happens to her own body when it may harm her overall health, economic stance, or life because she is supporting a fetus (not even necessarily of her own free will, considering the possibility of rape or child pregnancy), is a complete violation of human rights. Additionally, given that a fetus can be stored outside of its host shows that it is not yet life and requires a host, so the life of the current breathing individual should be put above that of the fetus.

Forcing a woman to have a child she doesn't want or is unprepared for is problematic not just for them two, but for the system as well.

The argument that foster care abd adoption exists is a moot point, as even with abortion, there are still too many children in the system without homes. Instead of worrying about what a woman does with her body, their should be a better, safer system that should be implemented than the foster care system that fails children again and again. The reality is, pro-lifers do not care about the children, they only care about policing what women should and ahould not do with their own bodies. If a fetus is a baby then the father should start paying child support as soon as the pregnancy is confirmed. If a fetus is a baby then it should be insured by the family’s health insurance had soon as the pregnancy is confirmed. There are circumstances to abortion that make it a viable and only option for some. If someone is sexually assaulted and they conceive a child the expectation can’t be for them to have a child that will certainly not be loved. Same goes a for a child who does not meet a minimum standard of living.

Forcing women to have the child no matter the age, or circumstance can cause women to turn to dangerous secondary options (ie. using a hanger, etc.). It also endangers rape victims of all ages, and forces them to have their assaulter’s baby. Although these are extreme cases, these “rare” cases happen VERY often, and are a true reality for some women. Fetuses are not actually considered living beings, according to the biological principle of MRGREN - they cannot grow without being attached to a host, and they do not yet have a nervous system. If anything, a fetus is more comparable to a parasite than a living being. However, the life of a very real person could be at risk without an abortion. There are many different reasons someone may want to terminate a pregnancy, I think it is ultimately up to the individual carrying the fetus to decide what is best for them. We live in a time where the medical risk for properly terminating a pregnancy is super low and every individual should have the freedom to choose what happens to their own body.
